Painfully raw and simply beautiful Sinead never gave anything less than 110% and was one of the most sincere and least pretentious person in the industry.. Always put down for not towing the line but never sold out .. Back with her Son now

I only found out recently I live within a 20 minute drive from sinead I hope to meet her personally...... what she went through in life I hope nobody else ever has too the worst part I believe is losing her 17 year old son this year from suicide..... God love and protect her although now I belive its Allah she became a Muslim

As I understand it this song was written for her by Prince about the death of her mother with whom she had a difficult relationship but loved with all her h. Listen again with this in mind and it will break your heart

She shed light on the atrocities of the Catholic church, she was (and still is) a brave woman who risked it all for her convictions. She is not a popstar, she is a protest singer, that's how she defines herself. Her religious and political beliefs are part of her and her music.

In the whole history of pop music there were very few music videos which became as iconic as Robert Palmer's video for 'Addicted To Love' ( that's the one with the 4 hot girls in mini-dresses ) but when you see Sinead O'Connor really crying for her mother, who died just before she recorded the song, you will understand why it became famous all over the world. Incidentally, I am certain you would LOVE Robert Palmer's 'Best Of Both Worlds' which is a superb, happy, sexy number. Check it out.
