An interesting fact - a developer under the nickname RiotUtora shared information on Reddit about Jhin's voice acting. Riots made two types of lines: taunts, emotions and others are heard by each player, but only Jin hears the lines when moving, attacking and returning. The latter are permeated with a chorus, and their idea is that Jhin hears himself that way. The music of the choir plays in his crazy mind. Opera reference, stage, performance and music cues are supported by the choir for a total frenzy atmosphere. All other remarks are heard by other players and they sound standard. This was done intentionally to create a contrast between what Jhin actually says and what he thinks to himself

Some of those voice lines and looks from the first video are confusing to you because they're skins of champions instead of the original champions. Skins come with alternate lore. They're not canon.

An interesting fact that not a lot of people know about Jhin: although it is well known that he is obsessed with the number 4, not many people realize that you draw the form of a 4 if you move your finger across the keys in the keyboard as if wanting to type "jhin"

So, concerning his mask - we only know that he looks like a completely normal person when out of costume. He hates his face and calls it deformed, but it's been confirmed that there's nothing wrong with it, he just hates "ordinary" things so much that his own face disgusts him. He's... also not that good of an artist. Or rather, he's talented in actual art, but his murders are just a sick outlet for his sadism, no matter how flowery he tries to be about it. It's completely intentional from the developers' side, though. All of his more poetic lines are his "inner voice" which only the player hears (it's hard to hear over the music in the video, but they are even followed by an angelic choir; he's just that full of himself). However, when he speaks to others - his taunts - he sounds like a petty jackass. When writing a "cool" character, there's always a chance it will just come out as try-hard, so his writers circumvented that by actually making him act like a psychopathic theater kid. Probably one of the best realized characters in LoL; he's been in my top 5 ever since he came out.

during the voice lines, when a there was something between parenthesis it means it's a skin. That's why it doesn't make sense sometimes, it's alternative realities. "dark cosmic Jhin" won't say the same things as regular Jhin, and the interactions will not be the same with other champions with a skin either. That's also why you didn't recognize Varus at 16:55 , it's dark star Varus

RIOT also just announced new upcoming champion (no major details yet, just the name and a brief bio), Hwei, who is a very artistic and passionate inkmage i believe. I sure hope he will have couple interactions with Jhin, i think he would be a very usefull asset for Jhin's "performances" ;D Also thanks for the reaction, its pretty fun stuff!

That spider lady on the worldwalker video is the one who crafts jhin's equipment, she is the one who can make tecnology infused with magic(now that i think about it, it really similar to what hextec is), she is a card in runeterra, the maker if i recall correctly.

just fyi - League's developers gave a massive new update now confirming my expectation from when Arcane came out: Arcane is now canon lore. Essentially we got a big drop of information so League plans to unify all lore into one consistent canon lore which means parts that don't align will be retconned bit by bit. Necrit also made a video about that issue (League gave this information in a video as well if you are interested). This is also a very good intention in order to prepare the launch of the MMO which is in dire need of a consistent canon universe in order to pop off.

Even when Riot was asked what lines were not added to the game, they received an answer and examples of what was not included. They sound quite creepy and do not fit the rating of the game: "Rivers swell in spring. Insects return after rain. A corpse is thrown ashore.", "My first performance. Lovers whisper in the dark. Remove husband.", "Tattoo in the form of a black flower. The courtesan draws red lips. I extract her jaw."

I had the honor of meeting Jhin's voice actor at an anime convention last year. He also does the voice of Reno from FF7 who I was cosplayed as. Jhin was his favorite character to voice act for.

Maybe you should look for videos that do no include the voice lines from the skins, to avoid confusion.

theres a line i thought they skipped but it ended to be that the spanish translation is (to me) far better than the original. the original one is "In carnage, I bloom, like a flower in the dawn." meanwhile the spanish dub (translated) is "Fear blooms in massacre, like a lily at dawn"

As for the music, it is not really picked, it is in fact Jhin's theme that is playing in the background. Every Champion has their own soundtrack, which Riot calls or called login screens, because in the past their themes played in the launcher for the game, sadly this isn't the case anymore, but many players (including me) want this feature back.

Something you have to understand champions get some skins and some times they have they own voice lines that match those skins and it's the universe of the skin line. The queen was Ashe she is queen of the cosmic skin line. But she is also the Queen of Freljord the snow biome of the league world.
