Welcome to another video of mine,
Today marks the start of my holiday all throughout Europe! My first ride is from Melbourne to Singapore onboard a Singapore Airlines A380 in Economy Class! So how did I find the flight, well watch the video to find out!

Gosh, just this basic lounge and the food is HEAPS better than QF next door. Its been over 10 years since I last stepped on board SQ! The catering has certainly changed after all this time. Next time we meet, I'll show you how generous the food was when I last flew them to Adelaide. Great video! They were my previous employer, actually. 😅

Wow nice video! I had the privilege to fly SKQ to London and it was amazing. The A380 is such a joy to fly and I even got to see the cockpit at Heathrow! 😄

Well done Aidan. Yes Singapore is a very good airline and the A380 is a very comfortable plane. I have many negative reports on their Economy Class catering though of recent times. Business has remained very good. Looking forward to the next installment.

Great comprehensive medium haul SQ Review Aidan my favourite of yours thus far although there all been really great!. Looking forward to seeing the longer flight to Europe and Euro videos soon too! I flew the SQ A380 back in 2012 between Singapore and Zurich and then from London back to Singapore both were pretty solid experiences but that was like over 10 years ago so curious to see what its like in the post covid world!

Sick video but loads of other airlines have metal cutlery in economy. Lufthansa, Swiss, Emirates, TAP, Etihad, JAL, Garuda etc etc. Love flying airlines that have em cause it gives me a chance to boost my teaspoon collection

Hmm reading up on the A380 to Melbourne, seems like it's only for a limited time, unless they're planning to extend it? On SIA's website currently, A380s only shows up till mid November; after that it's just B777-300ERs or A350-900s.

I flew 9V SKQ on the Same flight Number on 4 Nov 2023! SQ 228 From Melbourne. NO point Bringing Back SQ A380s to Melbourne again after SQ a380 withdrawal from the City in 22 Nov! A350s will do instead!

Unfortunately, Singapore will replace the a380 with a350 on the route in late November. However, that's totally fine.

Slight correction, mate: you labelled the section from 10:00 to 12:10 "pushup and safety video". Either the whale jet did some physical exercises, or you meant "pushback"? 😉 Otherwise, great video. Shame they don't appear to be going back to actual headphones and are sticking with the cheap quality earbuds, though.

The SQ lounge is very basic in Melbourne (and Australia in general) - I usually use the Air New Zealand one which is more spacious and food / drink options are better. Suggest trying them out next time!

What the Air New Zealand lounge like in Singapore Changi? 🤔

@@paulsz6194 they don’t have one in Singapore - they use the SQ lounge like all Star Alliance airlines. But Air NZ lounges in general are quite good I have found. You can of course use whichever Star Alliance lounge you want in any location…not just the one they recommend ☺️

I don't envy people who have to fly from Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane to get to South-east Asia. From Perth we can reach Indonesia in 4 hours and then Singapore and KL aren't much further.

@@paulsz6194 Perth to Manila is about 7 hrs 15 minutes, about 1 hr 30 mins closer than Sydney - Manila. All mid - and eastern Pacific destinations are of course further. On the other hand all destinations in the Indian Ocean and Europe are closer and we have the option of non stop flights to Europe. All in all I think we're slightly better off for long distance travel than eastern Australia.

very good 👍 with A380-800 with Singapore airlines from Singapore to Auckland return over 10 hours long way non-stop wow think be retired finished with A380-800 withdrawn soon after Boeing 777-300ER or 777X9 with Singapore airlines soon hugs low fuel prices with Boeing 777X9 in 2024/2025 be happy 😊hugs great thanks cheers 🍻 👏 ✌ 🤗

After Singapore completes its A380 plans until 26 oct 2024, Singapore should retire all it's Remaining A380s saying complete goodbye to A380 era and replace them with A350. Choose Emirates instead of Singapore Airlines!
