Hope everything is fine for your Nomad. Is the whole of India under lockdown at the moment? Or just in the state or city that you are in?

@@DiscoveryWalkingToursTV There's no lockdown per se. All the domestic travel restrictions have been lifted. International travel for leisure is a bit tricky though. Have been wanting to visit Singapore for a long time. But India being a high risk country, I guess casual travellers are not allowed to enter, right?

@@NomadographerExplores Yeah we pretty much stopped all incoming leisure travel. Only allowed in those with work or business purposes. But even then, they have to serve quarantine for 14 days. I don't claim to follow or keep up to date with all the rules and regulations because it changes so often these days

I remember when they first opened Boat Quay in the 90s... it was a big thing. I spent many hours in the McDonalds on Boat Quay studying for my O levels. I thought that McDonalds was the bomb! Hahah! This was so long ago, like 1992-1993.

First of all I'm wondering how you managed to ride a bike down boat quay what with the people there. I thought that would be an impossible task. Secondly unless of course you live in Singapore how was it you were in Singapore during the pandemic I mean the world was in lockdown & no one was allowed to go anywhere. Great video don't quite know how you managed to film the video maybe your phone was attached to your helmet.

Thanks for the compliment Gary. Honestly its not that hard. I am riding a small bicycle and its easy to handle. During this period, it wasn't mandatory lock in so we still have the freedom to move about in the country

Its quite rare. There were actually another 2 fire trucks that were responding to a call. I cut out that footage because I was waiting at the traffic light.

Are bicycles allowed in all streets and paths in singapore?

Yes. Cyclists are allowed on footpaths. Need to keep within 10km/hr. Roads are allowed except expressways and road tunnels.

@@charleslouiseado3455 you can look for some hostels and hotels in the Bugis area where they have bicycles free to rent for their guests. We do have those scan and ride bicycles but it can be challenging to find a workable one 😅

Hello there! Could you show me the area around the Boss Hotel sometime?!I rested there for 12 days in May 2017.I went straight from the hotel to the subway, without even looking at the place where I lived.

Ah okay. I am familiar with that area. Hotel Boss is kind of in a "middle" spot. I cycle past it a couple of times in my other videos. Will do my best to film one in the coming weeks. By the way, where are you from? =)

@@MNM143 Lovely 😊 I went to google map your home city. And its really in the middle. Must be extremely cold over there. My coldest experience was minus 30 degrees in and it was the first time I actually felt pain in my fingers. lol. Not really keen on experiencing that again. Really hope you will have a chance to travel again. Cross fingers we are okay and the vaccines come as soon as possible for all of us

@@DiscoveryWalkingToursTV )))Yes, it's cold in winter.Just a couple of days ago, frosts of -40 degrees ended.Two weeks held.And today it's already -10.But even in summer it is very hot, and it reaches +35.Our city is considered rich in green spaces due to poor ecology, but after visiting Singapore, I realized that our city is far from you in this regard.In Singapore, I was struck by the nature and,of course, the sights.I am grateful that I was able to see such a magnificent city!!!Let's hope for the best in the future..
