I knew a woman who was with a guy, they mostly dated online, Smule is where they met, it's a singing app. He told her that he had cancer and he didn't have long to live. When it came time for him to die, they said their heartwarming goodbyes and that was that. Or so she thought.... Six months later, he was back to singing on the same profile. lol

That dude in the food court screwed up bad. Yeah, the food choice was a problem. He didn't think to go somewhere else to eat, either. Then again, she could have too, at any time... It's two people on a date. But he let his self centered guilt spiral consume him. She dodged a bullet, he'd be one of those tiresome dudes who wail in agony every time they forget to compliment a new shirt.

Dude had no backup plans or tact to recover when the girl literally served him an out by offering the movie option. He probably had no dating experience so you cant really fault him. Everyone has bad dates, even long time couples. The difference is if they can overcome it and laugh about it together later.

I once dated a guy who, for a first date, took me to H-Mart (Asian grocery store) and then hung out with me in the car. He gave me raw pizza dough. But it's the person, not the pizza dough, and I was delighted to keep dating him.

A Singaporean woman asking you your salary or net worth within 2 minutes of first meeting you is normal. Expect it and be prepared by bringing either a recent pay stub, a recent ATM receipt showing your bank balance, or a recent tax return.

I think that the girl in the last story is too kind or very into the guy. I personally think the first mistake is to go on a date at a hawker centre. It's crowded, it's hot, it's not the cleanest. I just wouldn't.

Yes it can. I had a friend who accepted an invite to go for a dinner with a guy, she saw him as a friend or collegemate, but the guy saw her accept of the invite as a hint of interested. She just casually had the dinner as a friend, but the guy probably tried to be flirty. He drove her back to her place and that's it. Somehow afterwards, the guy spread the news calling her a bitch, tried to be flirty with him. The thing is, this friend of mine is an airhead, she usually just talks with everyone casually. All of these apparently stirred up some gossips. They only kinda make up and let things slide when we are about to graduate. This example I gave, well it wasn't really a date, but yes people can be an airhead and sometimes a bit much, but it happens. Like me too, I only know about these when we are about to graduate as well, I didn't notice a thing XDDD
