hawkers are open markets, with a huge variety of reasonably priced food. each hawker stand really perfects their signature dish, and it’s incredible to try so many diverse dishes all in place. just make sure to come hungry + with cash! which hawker stand would you check first?

U definitely got the right local recommendations in Hong Lim hawker centre - the curry mee(noodles) n char kway teow; amongst the best in Singapore.

⁠⁠⁠⁠@@xijinpig7978 There r many versions of laksa, if in Singapore; there r 2 well known spots - Sungei Road Laksa(Jln Berseh) and Katong 328 , both curry based = very different from Penang laksa, which is more asam soup based, similar to Indonesia. I hear Indonesia has also dry laksa, different from mee siam.

god kway teow is one of my top ten foods here in sg i can’t get enough of it! the hawker centre at old airport road also has a lot of amazing stalls, if you’re ever coming back to visit, you can try the foods there too!!
