Great concept, i wish they had something alike around the world, it could also serve as a social hub, meeting new people are talking to locals, insted of being home on your phone or laptop while slowly loosing your social skills

Now this is the life. In Malaysia there is also not many of these left. When I see one, I usually just sit there read a book, have a quick nap or have some tea or coffee with the elders. My parents and friends say that it is a place mostly for grandpas or grandmas go but I go anyway because it relieves stress. The good thing about it is that I can learn languages like Hokkien, Cantonese and even Tamil which I can barely speak but can listen to what they say. Btw, I'm just a fifteen year old teenager. Nowadays teens my age just play on their phones or go to shopping malls to buy expensive things which I never liked.

Maybe because of heavy and needless pollution by burning paper. Hurting the environment for the world in the hope of getting individual peace. Nobody burns paper and wish for world peace.

Immigrated to the States 20 years ago. I'm grateful for this digital archive of REAL Singapore. It's important we keep our kampong spirit alive especially after the one-sided portrayal of Singaporeans in the vulgar phenomenon that is “Crazy Rich Asians”.
