The Shuttle Tebrau is a cross-border train between Malaysia and Singapore. It is a 5-minute train ride across the Johor Strait from JB Sentral Station in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, to the Woodlands Train Checkpoint in Singapore. With 31 daily trips, 18 southbound and 13 northbound, the Shuttle Tebrau is popular with travelers and weekly commuters for its simplicity compared to the complicated web of bus operators. Even though I implied it but didn't explicitly mention it in the video, you MUST board the specific train you reserved. Without that measure in place, there would be multi-hour long lines just to get on a train vs. the convenience of knowing which train you will be on.

Indeed informative. We are US retired couple making 4-month vacation here. Will live in Tebrau in our final phase. Looks like we can use it daily to Singapore, for a month. Annual vacation here from Vegas.

If I am not mistaken, Shuttle Tebrau will cease its operation once RTS is completed. Having said that, the soon to be in operation (KTM ETS and other KTM services) will end at JB Sentral. Note: it should have been clearly stated as Malaysia's ONLY train to Singapore. Tebrau Shuttle is owned and operated by KTM Malaysia.

if you miss the train and take a bus please take 160,170/X or 950 and not causeway link because they are pretty bad

Really wonder why they don't lengthen the train and let it run at 10 min intervals back and forth. Screw the "signalling", it's the only train on the track and has its own dedicated platform on both sides.

It’s mainly cause of the immigration layout of woodlands train checkpoint which doesn’t allow the shuttle to run at 10 min intervals.

Yeah, the co-location agreement, maybe they could get rid of the pre-registration and quota ticketing system, switching to something like the mrt. If you miss a train, get on another. Also, the seat arrangement results in less standing room

Honestly though the best way was for the KTM tracks to be double tracked and electrified (they had a plan in the 90s until Sg wanted the land back) and both Sg and KTM rolling stock run their trains to KL, just like how the Chinese SS8/DF11 and MTR ktt operated routes from HK to Guangzhou/Shanghai/Beijing until the HSR opened

I rmb Shuttle Tebrau one time they had 2 trains running idk why they dont do that anymore
