Changing to an LED flasher would avoid the heat?

Yes, if you cut away the resistor. It's wired in parallel with the bulb, so you won't need it in combo with a led flasher relay 😀

I removed my bulb and noticed mine has dual filament bulbs would it be okay to run the same setup even thoughts its a single filament?

I will have to say no, as the bulbs have different sockets. You can however use a swichback bulb like this: s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_DkRApPX / s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_DCAbFSzand change the indicator relay to this: s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_DC6ikU5 Like I have done in this clip: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/h6l7Z5ii1tbRiGw.html
