I have been working on a bunch of sewing machine. I hope you enjoy this one. This is one is for sale. You will have to look me up on my Page in Facebook, Jacqueline Affordable Sewing Machine Care. This sewing machine came to me as a donation. It needed a lot of TLC. Praise the Lord we got it working again.

this is not a singer model 15-88 this is a singer 15-91 big difference (to me)

This is a Singer sewing machine it says it on the sewing machine. You look up the serial number and it'll give you the history. On each Singer sewing machine. A lot of manuals back in the day would have different sewing machine in each of their manuals. They would show pictures of different types in their manuals. Kenmore did the same thing in the 70's. I figured it saved on paper. For each generation.

@JacquelineJaroffaith unless this Singer is a FrankenSinger, he is right, ma'am. A Singer 15-88 was treadle version; the potted motor was a Singer 15-91.

Please help. I have recently acquired a Singer 15k, the model without the reverse lever. My machine was threaded left to right when I got it, and the previous owner told me that was how you thread it. Now I've seen so many videos saying it has to be right to left. Now, my machine sews beautifully, no issues. Surely, if it was threaded incorrectly it would not sew. The needle is inserted flat side to the left. I'm confused. Please clarify. Mine is a 15K-1 from 1951 (and has a 100 year centenary badge on it). Is it possible later models were threaded differently.😏 Please clarify. Thank you ☺️

The length is your reverse just lift up on it and you back up and then when you go in and go back down you have to push it down. Well I'm dyslexic so maybe I might have said that but I meant the other way it's supposed to be from the right to the left my problem is is being dyslexic, I see everything in reverse in my mind so I'm apologize for that maybe I'll make a new video Thank you for letting me know.

@@JacquelineJaroffaith Hi. My model does not have a stitch length lever. It is the older model with a screw in knob to change stitch length, same as on my 1949 Singer 99K hand crank machine. I was not querying that anyway. My query is that my machine threads from left to right with flat of the needle to the right Your machine threads right to left. I've just checked online a pdf manual for the 15k and it states to thread left to right as my machine does. I was confused as to why not all the Singer 15s were threaded the same. Seems odd.

What are the part numbers for the treadle parts ? I need the treadle parts

You would have to go to www.singer.com/ to find out what you will need to make it into a treadle. Or use the serial number on your sewing machine and google it.

A 15-88 is a machine that has a spoked balance wheel and is a treadle machine. What you have is the very common 15-91 with the potted motor. You also have the wrong manual for the machine becaise it is neither a 15-88 nor a 15-89!

I used the ser# to find out what kinda it was. Originally it was a treadle sewing machine.
