I can't believe you don't know who Placido Domingo is! The man is a global legend as one of the greatest opera singers of our time. Part of the Three Tenors alongside Pavarotti and Jose Carreras. This was a moment of history in the making, like a passing of the torch from one generation to another.

It blows my mind how many American musicians have never heard of Placido Domingo! He's a legendary opera singer, known as one of The great tenors of the world, at the same level as Pavarotti. But no, "I've never heard of this guy before." Amazing!

If you google Dimash duets there are quite a few of them all beautiful harmonies, Dimash has had a lot of classical training and was offered a place in the opera company of Kazakhstan in his early days.

The other singer is renowned opera singer, Placido Domingo, who has had a sixty year career as a tenor and has performed more operas than any other tenor. He became a more household name outside of opera when he, Jose Carreras, and Luciano Pavarotti formed The Three Tenors in the 90's. He is now 83 years old and still singing! Dimash was given a cassette of Domingo when he was five years old and he said that he began to sing after hearing Domingo's tape! One of Dimash's dreams was to sing with him! And, he now has done. Con todo respeto: como puedes reaccionar a semejante obra de arte sin informarte al menos, quien es Plácido Domingo? Es uno de los más grandes tenores que aún viven - tiene 83 años - (Hubo un tiempo en ek que ormaron un trío con Pavarotti y Carreras "Los tres tenores). El mismo Dimash le contó que de chico lo escuchaba y que siempre lo admiró. Yo no entiendo el texto tampoco, pero se que es un aria de Bizet. Está claro que aquí Dimash siguió las normas del canto lírico, Plácido Domingo, a pesar de su avanzada edad, se lució. (Sugiero escuches algún tema suyo más joven) Esto forma parte de un concurso de talentos donde Dimash es jurado. I think reactors to Dimash should at least try to educate themselves on some of the basics of classical music otherwise they won't really get the soul and artistry of this piece in music art history. Too many music lovers today live on a transient pop culture diet and don't realise the world culture of music is old as time gives us the true north/origin of music in the classics. This 1863 piece of history has endured bc it captures the dynamics of classical singing and the genius of man's creativity.

This is opera. No voice artistics involved. The thing here is to sound harmonic with your partner in the duett and they did. In front of a whole orchestra.
