at 2:06 when she holds the word "down" this is incredibly difficult to do - holding onto that note with perfect pitch and no vibrato while fading - and how she can sing the same high note in three different voicings - just incredible - my fav singer on the planet!! So hyang one of my favorite female vocalists. Her performance of “ everyone” beyond amazing. Please react to her closest and best friend, Park Ki Young, I like Park Ki Young because they have about the same vocal range but Park Ki Young is a tad more versatile and can belt them with equal emotional impact and power in rock, pop, soul, jazz and classical ( opera). A few of my favorites that are worthy of reacting to: ( either privately or publicly) KZfaq: “ I dreamt I dwelt in Marble Halls” ( 5:02 duration. A rare hidden gem that she performs the way it was intended to be performed : as an opera in English. Anya’s Version is the standard but sung more as a ballad but Park Ki Young opera style takes you to church and beyond. “ Nella Fantasia “ ( 4:08 best version ever and I’ve watched and listened to all the world class vocalists perform this) “ goodbye a word that’s too short” ( click 5:08 one she sustains the last note forever) “wound” ( emotionally impactful 5:57) “Hit hee Park Ki Young” (one of my all-time favorites 5:18 duration) “Mask”( she was robbed. They gave it to the King. Total highway robbery). “ So hyang” receives a lot more reactors and reactions than Park Ki Young” because of her ability to sing many popular American songs in English which she performs with emotional impact. But please don’t judge a vocalist by the number of requests-altho your fans are usually right. But I’m a professional singer and my singing friends unanimously agree that both So Hyang and Park Ki Young are not only world class vocalists but equal in talent ( there’s even a KZfaq video where they compare both vocalists ( Park Ki Young vs So Hyang) It’s a mixed vote. Some say So Hyang , some say Park Ki Young. What I’m trying to say is I believe Park Ki Young deserves more reactions and I promise you and your subscribers who love So Hyang ( and I am among them) that you won’t be disappointed listening to a Park Ki Young song. They are both about the same age ( early 40s but look amazing for their age!) and the closest and best of friends. Please start your Park Ki Young Journey with “ Nella Fantasia” ( click first vid 4:08 duration) which I consider the best rendition I have ever heard of this song and I have heard all the world class vocalists perform it) Then “ I dreamt I Dwelt In Marble Halls Park” ( 5:02). Do you know the story behind her awesome talent? She has always been singing, but when she was 20 years old and newly married she got cancer in her stomach and had to go through several operation. Because of this, she can never have children. But being member of the church she got people praying for her, and she survived the cancer. Because of this she sees her life a gift from God, and she wanted to dedicate her life and singing to Him. She said she wants her singing to comfort people who are in pain, telling them “I see you- I’ve been there”. She has since then almost exclusively been singing at churches at home and abroad, at charity events, or events to honor other artist - meaningful events, and avoided taking part in the big music industry. She has been contacted many times by international managers who could help her getting famous here in the West (she is famous in Asia, despite her limited performances), but she has always refused. Now she is about 40 years old (she looks so much younger!) and the last few years she has been participating in South Korean music contests on TV. When she first started singing on these TV shows she was very conflicted if this was the right thing to do. But then she saw a woman in the audience crying while she was singing, and she realised that her calling was to reach out to everyone who is hurting, not just people in church. ❤️ She not only has an outstanding talent and the most beautiful voice, her singing touches people in a way that is hard to explain, a gift from above. I love sohyang! If you get a chance, listen to her performance of Everyone and also Where Are You. Those are my two favorites because to sing them live takes an overwhelming amount of stamina, and for such a small instrument, she has more power than just about anyone I've heard. Truly amazing. So Hyang is arguably the most technically sound singer currently alive. Her technique is quite literally flawless. Even singers like Dimash and Morissette strain from time to time, but So Hyang is legitimately perfect. All of her performances are incredible, but you should check out "Arirang Alone" next. Let's just say that you haven't seen how extreme her voice can get. The highest mixed note here is a G5 and that's literally nothing for her.

But first let me say that Koreans are unquestionably the best female singers in the world terms of number of outstanding vocalists. Once you hear Park Ki Young , you will know what angelic is. Here are a few to consider ( privately or publicly)that will silence your mind and open the floodgates of your heart and soul. Park Ki Young : KZfaq: “Hit Lee Jang Park Ki young” ( builds and builds to an amazing long sustained last note ending that will have you-like the audience- clapping and cheering) “ wound” ( amazing vocal range) “ Nella Fantasia” ( best version ever and I’ve listened to some great versions by well known vocalists but none tops this and it ends in an amazing final high note!) “ Spring Rain” ( those last high notes amazing) “A Song For you” ( last note one of the longest by a female vocalist I have ever heard) After listening to these I am certain beyond a shadow of a doubt you will be a lifelong fan. So many more to explore. By the way, Sohyang ‘s best and closest friend is Park Ki young. Al Al
