I just bought a 1965 Singer 328K from Facebook marketplace for only $25 in a wood cabinet and with a storage bench and all accessories( like the changeable cams) The motor runs so smooth. I can't wait to try it out. I had a 1965 Kenmore with cams when I was first married.

What a great introduction to the 328. I have a 306K. It works perfectly but is far less streamlined than yours.

Thank you for the video. I bought this machine for myself as a first year art student in 1973. It is only now that I m near retirement, that I am thinking I would finally like some more bells and whistles. Especially stretch stitches.

This is the second version of the 328. Both versions are exactly the same except for color and a few cosmetic differences. These are very good machines and were extremely popular in the early to mid 1960s. Because it gave you most of the features of the higher-end Singers, but without the huge price. I highly recommend this model to anybody. If you're looking on eBay for one. Don't spend more than $150 for them. If you're going to go higher than that, then go for the 400 series which as direct drive. This one of course runs on a belt. A great machine and wolf picking up if you can find one at a good price.

Where was the stamp inside the seat from? I was gifted this exact sewing machine with the cardhoard notions box with everything in it. This machine sews like a dream come true. I've had many brand new machines that didn't even compare to how consistent and well it performs!!!

Thank you so much for the great video! I've just started learning how to use a 328K that I bought at an estate sale. It is the portable kind in a plastic case, not a beautiful table like yours. I didn't like the foot pedal, so I bought a wooden adaptor which makes it much easier. I think it probably needs to be oiled so I have to figure that out.

I have one of these it’s fabulous. 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥰I did have an issue as it sped along on its own really fast and smelled burnt electric turns out it needed the capacitor taking out of the foot pedal so beware if the machine hasn’t been used for a long time.

A tip for those with the machine that was first made without a light switch on it, I plugged my machine into a timer, and just turn on and off the switch on the timer to save the original plug from being pulled in and out of the wall.
