Voctave is an 11-person, 5-octave acapella group (the lowest recorded note being an F1 and the highest note being an G6). They have a wide range of vocal techniques and backgrounds: church choir, barbershop, gospel, classical training, theater music, Broadway, pop, contemporary Christian music... Jamey Ray, the group's composer and tenor, arranges the songs himself with the help of the group (for certain notes), and is notably the founder of the Voctave group. But before they formed this group in 2015, they all met and worked at Walt Disney World EPCOT in Orlando Florida as singers for the acapella group "The Voices Of Liberty". Some of them, like Tiffany Coburn (second soprano), Aaron (second bass) or the former bass of the group J. C performed at EPCOT in the late 90s, and the rest of the group started coming to Disney in the 2000s to sing: Kate Lott (first soprano), Ashley Espinoza (sopralto), Sara Whittemore (first alto), Chrystal Johnson (second alto), Karl Hudson (first bass), Kurt Von Schmittou (baritone), E. J. Cardonna (first tenor), Drew Ochoa (second tenor) and Jamey Ray (third tenor). Three years ago, the group welcomed Drew and Aaron to replace J.C. who was their first bass and Tony their second tenor. You can find multiple videos of their performances at Disneyland, singing American folk and traditional songs, arrangements of Disney songs and Christmas carols. Compared to the beginning of their career, we can notice their evolution in their vocal techniques, the emotions they convey to the public, the finesse of their interpretations. They know their voices and always tend to tune as well as possible without obstructing the chords or melodies. Perfect control of breathing, vocal power, the color of their tone, the volume... These people found each other well and formed one of the most harmonic groups in the acapella register.

Voctave is just insane. Appreciate your appreciation for how good they are. Their tenor Jamey Ray is the founder and arranger. He composes and arranges based on the voices of the members. When people ask Kate Lott, their colorotura soprano, how high she can sing her response is pretty much as high as Jamey writes it for me. It's always 11 members. The group has been the same core members for a while now with the exception of one bass and one tenor who left the group about 3 years back and then 2 new members came in to replace them. If they ever do tour overseas, JUMP at the chance to see them. Not sure whether it will happen anytime soon. They do tour the US but Voctave is just a side gig for the members.

always nice to see people react to voctave. they are just as good live as they are on recordings. that last high note was actually not only Kate (soprano) singing but also the tenor EJ was on the same note is his respective octave!

Wobei man die beiden gar nicht wirklich vergleichen kann.🤔 Bei PTX ist es komplett anders. Nicht ganz so pompös. Aber mit Sicherheit nicht weniger beeindruckend.😄 Schon erstaunlich was man "nur" mit der Stimme alles machen kann.😉 Wenn ich an dieser Stelle vielleicht einen Vorschlag machen dürfte... Macht doch mal ein "Singer React" auf ein Lied von der Acapella Gruppe "VoicePlay" (Bin jetzt nicht sicher, aber es könnte sein, das ihr, vor Jahren, schon mal was von VoicePlay dabei hattet.) Die machen , wie PTX, sehr beeindruckende Cover-Versionen. (Als Beispiel: So wie sich PTX an "Kiss from a Rose" ran getraut haben, hat Voicplay das mit "Nothing else Matters" gemacht.😉) Es gäbe natürlich noch viele gute Beispiele mehr, aber... falls es mir jetzt gelungen ist, euch neugierig zu machen, würd ich mich sehr freuen, wenn wir irgendwann, entsprechendes zu sehen kriegen dürften.😊😁 Aber so oder so, freu mich schon auf euer nächstes Singers React Video.😄👍 Lieben Gruß🙂

Your reactions actually have me in stiches laughing at you both,even your facial expressions have me absolutely buckled at times ( i kid you not lol) Guys I would absolutely "LOVE" + would truly appreciate it if you would check out Gabriel Henrique singing live in Bucharest with the Amazing Romanian Orchestra behind him !! He's absolutely mind blowing especially singing O' Holy Night, ( which i know you've already reacted to + loved but this is truly special ) with the Beautiful Orchestra + his Beautiful voice it's abs stunning + actually moves the Soul. I'd love to watch/ hear your reactions to his performances during this concert, even though he was unwell due to the fact that he'd travelled from the beautiful sunny climate + temps of Brazil to the freezing snow covered climate of Bucharest, there's even footage of Gabriel enjoying snow with his family for the 1st time, making a snowman ⛄️, snowball fights × Gabriel lying on the snow making snow angels ⛄️❣️⛄️+ although he was well wrapped up + dressed for the freezing temperatures he was unfortunate enough to not be feeling 100% for the concert, but you definitely wouldn't know he was unwell !! It was so nice to see footage of people actually queuing up after the concert just to have a picture taken with him. I seem to remember that you covered this already. ...and honestly... I used to love you guys for what i thought were honest reactions. The impression i get now is that real has left the chat, and has been replaced with cheerleaders...or the fear of not being exciting/upbeat enough. Such a shame. The two of you used o be the gold standard, for me at least.
