Sarah Rosa I was also wondering about copyright/royalties. I’m guessing that the song belongs to Pentatonix, but the royalties would be split between Kevin and Avi. I think that that’s how it works with air time coverage. But I’m guessing that this song might not get much air time. It can’t truly be performed by Pentatonix any longer - you can hear Avi’s distinct Baritone tones in the song at “I will break down...” Matt can’t replicate that. That’s an Avi sound... even if he knows the song (which I’m sure he does).

One of my favorite originals by them. Avi and Kevin wrote this. :') Thank you for your honest reaction. It was beautiful to watch you guys feeling the song the way most of us did when we heard it the first time. It sure is a tear-jerker! Their 5-part harmonies are just the best thing ever! Avi adds something to it that I cannot explain, I just feel it and I know it feels right! You are absolutely right when you said them 5 just FIT! They do ❤ You might also like Light In The Hallway, no video for it, but you'll find many live performances on youtube. Scott wrote it, and Avi takes the lead. Gorgeous! Have a nice day boys :)

This song is so beautiful and the arrangement so hypnotic, it just carries me away into some other place. And Avi is so unique in his sound. I can't ever remember a bass that could be so deep, resonant, strong, soft and human; all at the same time.

This is the first song that caught me after my father died. My mother had died 16 months before and I heard this gor the first time the week of my father's funeral. It shook me to the core, spoke to my heart, broke it into a million pieces and repaired it a little bit at the same time. The same thing happens every time I listen to it but I think my heart is always a little bit more whole after each time I hear it 💔❤

This is MY favorite of theirs (Somewhere Over the Rainbow runs a close second). Anytime anyone asks about songs that you have an immediate, visceral reaction to, this one is my answer. I'm an Avi girl, so this is a double whammy for me. He's SO present and anchors this sound so well. Then he soars in that bridge with Scott and Mitch. Thanks for reacting to this and loving it in the same why I do. This is why I love you guys and rec you on my facebook all the time.

I got to see this live and let me tell you, it was a freaking religious experience. It sounds just as amazing in person, even more because they're right in front of you, doing it off mic and it hits you that they actually exist. They're real human beings that can really make that music and that fact doesn't actually hit you until it's right there in front of you.

No shame in tears when hearing that song. It's a most remarkable song. The dissonance and harmonies are just amazing. They subtly change the chords with each repeat of the chorus.

You know... when an audience remains silent after a performance it's because the are so emotionally moved that they are still living in the moment of the music. I've been told this is the best form of flattery he for a performer. I loved watching this reaction video! It reflects the feelings of Pentaholics World Wide. 🙌👍

I love to see when I have you guys in my notifications!!! This is a song I LOVE to watch people react to because, it's not one that actually gets me emotional - however - when I watch others react, THAT brings it out in me. I knew this was gonna hit you guys based on your Hallelujah reaction! I only cried watching 2 PTX songs - Sing & Imagine and I know the first one makes NO SENSE, but I attribute it to Frisson, which I do suffer from and PTX brings it out in me - EVERY TIME!

Wonderful and heart felt reaction, guys! Two things - did you notice that the snowflakes or what ever was falling during the verses was going up on the chorus? They actually learned how to mouth the words of the chorus backwards, with the flakes falling, then played the video backwards and sang over it. Since they are only singing a few words, "I'll run, run to you", they said it wasn't too hard. Also, there is a funny remix of this that they did. SO glad you reacted to this one! I feel it never got the recognition it deserved, especially since its an original! One of my favorites of PTX for the pure harmonies in it. And love the lyrics as well. I almost wish they'd bring this back on tours instead of the slower covers, although I hope most of all we get more new work from them next yr!

I AGREE WITH YOU. THIS SONG IS SO BEAUTIFUL. IT TOUCHES EVERY PART OF MY BEING. I COULD LISTEN TO IT FOR HOURS IN A LOOP. ALSO. ABOUT AVI. I WISH HE WAS BACK WITH PTX. IT WAS THE PERFECT FIT. HE ADDED A CERTAIN SEASONING TO THE GROUP THAT ONLY HE COULD GIVE. I DO LIKE MATT, THOUGH. VERY TALENTED.

Knowing that Avi and Kevin wrote this has shifted my paradigm on this song a bit. Each of these individuals are highly spiritual and the Following God/Free Will pitfalls come into play. The first time I saw this video I sobbed. Truly amazing.

I find it fascinating that the Twin Psychics told them, Scott and Mitch, in a Superfruit episode, that the 5 of them had been united in previous lives which is why they synched SO VERY QUICKLY when the 'met' the day before the Sing-Off auditions...makes sense

I would be interested to observe and know what song impacts humans more than any other. You two were gripped almost immediately. I know I was too the first time, and without fanfare, will openly state tears fall every single time I hear this song. To see the bodily reactions to hearing this song is a story all its own. Silence, shaking, heart skips beats, breathing changes, Tears, overwhelming emotion, stunning, stimulating intimate relational thoughts, back to captivating silence. This song by these 5 makes the world stand still for a few minutes, like no other song we can name.

I cried the first time I watched this, too, so no worries. It's a very emotional song, especially when you get to the bridge and realize the song is about trying to get someone back who has died. It's one of my top favorites of theirs. There is one that feels a little similar to this, and that's another original on their self titled album, Light in the Hallway. Avi takes lead on it, and it'll make you cry over Avi leaving. There isn't an official video, but you can always react to listening to it (Use Pentatonix Topic, as it's KZfaq's collection of their album songs). I would recommend that over a live version because it just sounds perfect on the CD.

the part about "take my heart and I'll lay down my weapons" takes me back a couple years to where my daughters dad and I got into a physical altercation in front of her (she was 13 at the time), in which she saw me taken away in handcuffs and she wanted nothing to do with me for a long time. We have since patched things up and have a wonderful relationship again. I sent her this video when we were on bad terms and she came around thank God!! I'll always Run to You, HDB :-)

I was re-watching this reaction and it hit me that it's making peace with what is right now. Like people are running here and there all their life (just like in "on my way home" ;P ); and they say I *WILL* run to you.. until then, just keep calm and.. live. Then Forrest Gump came to my mind, how he needed to run for 3 years then he just stops and goes "I'm tired, think i'll go home" :') yo just had to write out lol :)
