I got this machine about 3 years ago and it’s been unopened since. I have today pulled it out and hope to start sewing soon. Thank you for this video it’s now saved so I can come back and view it when I set my machine up

I've been intimidated by sewing for my entire life. Rebuilding car engines, building with wood, landscaping, construction, sure, fine. Bought this machine a few years ago so my wife could teach me how to sew, and somehow, it always ended up driving me mad. She'd go up and finish the project for me. TURN THE WHEEL TOWARD YOU. You say it at least 4 times, and to an experienced operator like my wife, it's obvious and intuitive and she simply forgot to mention it to me. Last project I abandoned was travel pouches for my 7 fountain pens. And now they're on my desk, done, being filled with beautiful fountain pens. Thank you sew much!

I am very new to sewing period! lol Decided it was time to pursue a new hobby and bought this sewing machine on Amazon. I have to say I am very happy to come across this video in getting started. Are there any videos on what newbies should buy as in supplies? I have absolutely no clue where to start and I would like to practice by fixing the bottom of my pants and a few shirts that have lost the thread. Super excited to start experimenting! :D

New to sewing, so I purchased the starter model 1304. The instructions were not much help ex. to find the take up lever among many other threading and useful features. After watching twice I was on my way, even sewed a button hole. Just Great! Thanks for the video...

Excellent video. I’m struggling to sew pleats on a mask. Can’t work out how to accommodate thicker material (pleats) although instruction manual seems to say that it is possible with higher lever level?

hey! i recently bought a sewing machine and i followed this tutorial and was all good until i cut the thread to sew another part of the fabric, the start of the stitch is really loose, what advise could you give me?

I’m having problems keeping a stitch, I have re-threaded the machine x5, walked away a lot , put different thread in, started from the beginning again x4. Is there anything I am missing?

It's really easy to use I got one although I already know how to sew I love it it's broke in now and I hold it for the first time and it's much smoother

I.ve been using the machine for half a year now with no trouble. I decided to clean the area of the feed dog and so I had to remove the metal plate that covers that area to remove the lint that had collected. I oiled the machine light once I had brushed away all the lint. My trouble began when I screwed everything back. I must have broken ten needles thereafter. I made sure that the needle was where it should be. I made a few good lines of stitching then the needle snags and breaks. How do I correct the needle alignment? Where have I gone wrong?

I'm running two different colored threads on top and another color on the bottom and I love the way the bobbin is set up facing toward the user I know some of them face the other way and it's just as good but I like that bobbin other than the 99.. the only thing I would rather have is a vibrating shuttle but I have a machine with that that's 1900s technology but it works good

How about a trouble shooting video for this machine ? I recently had a bobbin issue and after I would sew something, I couldn’t pull it out enough to cut it. Also I bought the same thread ( so I thought ) and not sure it was thicker or what but my machine wouldn’t sew it. I had to adjust the bobbin tension but then ended up using a different thread all together.

I am having problems out of this machine. I'm trying to make masks for my kids and the upper thread keeps getting loose from the needle! How do I fix this???

Since I seem to be all thumbs, when the stitching is messed up saying to rethread w/o trouble shooting brings me back to square one. I've re threaded 3 times and the stitching is haywire. Is there a trouble shooting guide? I looked at the sheet that came with it and do not see my error.

I'm following all the instructions on this wonderful tutorial at the threading the bobbin. When I start to wind the bobbin for just a little bit to get the thread going on the bobbin, with the thread tail up and cut the thread as demonstrated, my thread drops out, therefore I can't continue to wind the thread? What's is happening and what do I do? Thank you.

Hi. Bought this machine for my 8yo granddaughter. Simple to use, but foot pedal is very hard to control. Goes from 0 to top speed with little in between. Any suggestions on how to slow the speed down?
