Coding is not dead. Neither the software engineering. AI is not responsible for Lay-off either. AI is increasing productivity and revenues for companies. When company productivity and revenues are increasing, companies go for more hiring, not firing. You have to know how to use AI.

You shouldn't just add 'Senior' without the experience. The advice in the video is totally wrong. I know its hard to get a junior position job. But a senior developer's knowledge won't come just by adding the word 'Senior' in your resume. Don't do it. Its like a scam.

Tech isn’t really fun anymore. Even if you get a job there’s no guarantee you will still have it In a couple of years so it’s just a constant stress and difficult to commit to any long term plans. Also wages are falling across the whole tech industry it’s not that lucrative anymore, compared to 10-15 years ago, those days are gone. Want I find amusing is that people still think there’s money to be made in tech but it’s only a small % of people making good money. All the outsourcing has killed the market, innovation and quality of tech is declining, no one really cares anymore about user experience. You’re better off working in the construction industry these days it’s gone full circle

1) 3 YOE is not senior. 2) Just by putting 'senior' on resume does not change anything. The company will always look for the overall years of experience you have. Even if you lie, there are background checks and if you caught lying in that you will be blacklisted forever by that company, STOP TALKING ANYTHING SO DUMB

Hire and fire is American culture? Really? I was sacked four times since 2000 from different companies with a clear message that within half hour I should leave the premises, not just the office. I am from India. They just sack the highest salaried guy first. Your talent and hardwork simply don't matter. Companies think differently, they keep low paid workers and ask them to fill up all the deficiencies by learning them within a time period. That's why 70 hours a week has become a norm, you like it or not. I used to work 12 hours a day, six days a week so that wasn't an issue for me. The situation is complicated and unique in every company but the bottom-line is, you have to save on human resources for the stakeholders, which is fair enough.

TBH, everyone is focussed on communication more than coding because why hire a 10yoe when you can get 2 mediums. Also companies today are boasting about the no-feedback policy. The hypocrisy is when they use ATS to filter resume it's okay, but they go up in arms when candidates use gpt. It's not the tester but HR or people partner who are actually the enemy. Not exactly, coding is not going to die.... but scenario will change. AI can't programme completely as requirements...but it will be a great buddy for programmers like us. Even AI need coding. Hiring will become competitive. In future tech will expand it's horizon to Agri, Metallurgy, Pharma, Manufacturing , Space etc.
