Had I never heard Zkye sing before, I would have said this performance was unbelievable. But I will admit that I cried at the end from the heart and soul she generated for this classic from Leonard Cohen. I don’t know how the band held it together at the end. I would have been a puddle of tears. Zkye, thank you. You are an amazing vocalist. Darren and each band member, thank you for giving this to the world to enjoy.

After hearing countless versions of this song I have never heard one that comes even close to KD Lang's live version (at Leonard's Tribute concert). Until now. I always consider her rendition a masterclass in how to perform a song, I will now also refer to this unbelievable version. Zkye you knocked it out of the park. Thank you so much for this.

I want to tell you something young lady I have listened to every version of this song I could find from Cohen himself. KD Lang was the best I have heard. But you are right up there with the best and towards the end you brought tears to my eyes! Incredible voice! Than you!

The formidable Zkye, peeling back every layer of longing, aching emotional pain, did not falter for a second, 100% authentic in conveying the song's meaning and feeling. If you can deliver a performance that wells tears, tingles skin, and warms - or breaks - hearts in people, you're super-powerful, because you can move them emotionally, and then you are embedded in their memories. For me, this is the standout track of the whole album, and that's quite something, since the whole album was incredible - also quite a feat, bearing in mind the time frame in which it was organised, recorded, produced and delivered.

Back in the days of MOTOWN, someone like Barry Geordie would have surrounded Zyke with an army of SONG WRITERS! Her DYNAMICS are just mind blowing! OMG!!! What an amazing soulful rendition of this great song! Zyke not only hits a home run but it’s a grand slam knocked out if the park. I’m still waiting for my goosebumps to go away. The bands low key dynamic back up is astounding and Darren’s production is off the hook.
