I also have a 1996 4x4 > I was going to get 26 inch rims but then i would have to get rubber bands pretty much, and that's okay if you're going with that huge rim look tucked up under, you can get away with it if your "tires" don't go over 34" tall tires and I heard with 35 inch tall tires you will still have to do some body trimming and possible grinding and I would also like to let you know that if you get 24 inch rims the actual visual part of the rim will be more like 26 and if you get 26 inch rims the visual part of it will be more like 28 in because they measure what are the bead of the tire sets so the rims are actually looking bigger and what they really are, so I'm going to 24" which will appear as 26" .... that's what I'll be putting on my 1996 4x4 Dodge Ram Sport, , and with the 24in rims that look like 26 is much safer for the rim because I will be able to get 4 inch sidewall.... so protecting your rims is also important.... figure out what tire size Tire you have to put a 24 inch rims but will still not exceed 34" tall. I also heard that 24 inch rims with 34 inch tall tires will clear if you keep your rims at 10 inches wide or less with a backspace of 5.75" and another thing I found very difficult about the 26in rims is that everybody has tires that are 12-1/2" to 14" wide which would rub the hell out of everything... Then you would need like 2" spacers to kick the tires out word, but then your tires will turn into the door frame area and hit their even harder and the front bumper area and that's probably why you will have to stay with a 24 inch rims with no choice.... because you can get tires that are not so wide like 12" wide or less... I've been doing the math for a couple years and decided to get the 24" rims which appear visually to be 26" when you put a tape measure acrossed.... good luck

U weren't happy with the length of the springs so u cut a coil off? I think it sits nice. Maybe get 2" drop spindles. I'm about to get the sane year ram and this is the kit I'll get. I wouldn't of went with less lower kit. 👍
