In this video I am in Isola del Gran Sasso, in the province of Teramo, at the Sanctuary of San Gabriele dell' Addolorata. The concert of the New Sanctuary consists of 14 bells electrified by momentum and equipped with electro-beaters. Among all the bell tower of the Centenary (5 tons) stands out. Cast between 1962 and 1964 by the Pontifical Marinelli Foundry of Agnone, the bells commemorate the 1st Centenary of the transit of Saint Gabriel and the Second Vatican Council. Originally electrified by Morellato, they are maintained by the De Santis Corinaldi Group of Cingoli (MC). The programming, however, is handled by Quasar electronics of Francavilla al Mare (CH). In the video we see the single expanse in sequence of each bell with the exception of the fourth of which I have attached only the audio and the photo. Due to security problems it is at a standstill waiting for the Sanctuary to provide financing for the expenses.
Notes of the bells kindly analyzed and identified by my friend Adriano Bonelli:
XIV - D4 ascending (New Sanctuary side on the right)
XIII - C4 slightly rising (garden side on the right)
XII - B3 (garden side on the left)
XI - Bb3 slightly flat (New Sanctuary side on the left)
X - A3 slightly rising (Piazza Antico Santuario side in the centre)
IX - G3 (side behind center)
VIII - F#3 (back right side)
VII - F3 waning (Piazza Antico Santuario side on the right)
VI - E3 (back left side)
V - D3 ascending (Piazza Antico Santuario side on the left)
IV - C3 (top center of the bell tower)
III - B2 (mouth diameter 1.51)
II - A2 (mouth diameter 1.72)
I - G2 slightly increasing (mouth diameter 1.93 m - weight 5 tons)
Good vision!
We recommend using headphones for more accurate listening.
Special thanks to:
