Thank you. Being single in your 30s and seeing your friends get married does sting. But like anything else, even tho I’ve been single for the last year, I’ve learned a lot about personal development and really gained a lot of confidence and slowing finding my inner peace. Thank you for the video.

Thank you Melissa, I really needed to hear this. I’m the same age as you and dealing with this same thing. It’s been 4 years since my divorce and still struggling accepting being single. It’s has made things difficult because I focus on wanting to find a SO instead finding myself and enjoy this time. There are times I’m happy with it but others I’m not. I need to go with my time line and things will happen when it is time. Be true to myself and enjoy life. Thank you again.

Melissa, I absolutely love this video! It truly speaks me to another level! I know this is a bit personal but I was in an abusive relationship about year ago now, and I shut myself off for a long time. It’s been a year since the break up but I feel everyday is a brand new day, and I am manifesting better things in my life. I learned each day how to love myself and enjoy life! I am just letting God help me guide myself, and trust him timing! I know my soulmate is out there, and we will meet soon! I also love to see you doing better! ❤️❤️❤️

Mel, having a healed heart of contentment in singleness is a great sign of being prepared for a relationship. Reflect and resolve personal baggage. Anything unaddressed will be carried into another relationship and that baggage will burst open unexpectedly leaving the other person wondering what the heck happened. Never give up moral values, but be flexible in personal checklists or expectations of a potential relationship.

So I'm a guy age 16 soon to be 17, just finished school and heading to college in September, and I must say this video really did, personally, give me a very different outlook to this topic and the busy life I have ahead of me. As many have assumed which is why you may have made this video, is being single can be pressuring especially with friends who are in relationships, it becomes quite isolating, and the need to find someone to share your interests in tends to be quite condescending because you feel the need to meet that expectation, but it's gratifying to hear you talk about this because it's not something that's talked a lot about and this concept being 'alone is different to lonely' is also very eye opening. Loving the advice videos Mel, thanks for being awesome, as well as just being you, #PTUcrew❤❤❤

@7eamGhast3 жыл бұрын
@@trecymachuki6135 Correct, men and women are not equal. The only view of their equality comes from God, what I mean is the creator is the only being that sees all of his creation as equal. However, for us Humans it is not so, Men have been given vessels and tasks, just as women have been given vessels and tasks. The vessels are not the same and nor the tasks. My son falls off the bed from jumping, I immediately say stop crying and make him realize he chose to put himself in danger. My wife will immediately rush to his side and want to hug and console him (if I’m not around) and cater to him and worry about if he’s ok. We see things differently. This is how we have been created. So why has western ideologies and their philosophies changed the women and men so much? Men are become more feminine, wearing tight clothing, make up, and never maturing. Where as women are being told, live single, don’t settle for anything less than what you consider to be a (personal) standard in men. This happens when our world views are formed by media and entertainment, music. And not by realistically considering the true infrastructure and original design of the Creator. So it is important to ask a women, do you want to be a Mother some day? Kids don’t play with toys much anymore, and girls don’t play with Baby Dolls, they are immediately indoctrinated with this idea of growing fast, and watering the seed of “relationship”. This causes a very bad spiral of unacceptable behavior which only grows worse with the child as time goes on. I ask if a women would be submissive, because women don’t realize that seeing that type of humble characteristic in a women, is EXTREMELY attractive. As men, we don’t care about how much time you spent at a university being told what to think, we care about your ability to think for yourself and your ability to actively humble yourself and follow the leader, and purely reap the benefits of the labor. Keep my land and house in order and raise my kids to be wise as I have instructed and keep your body good for me and only me, in my culture we have our women cover their heads in public. If it is only family, their hair can show, but a woman’s full body, beauty and glory are a gift to the man who has chosen her to be his partner for life. All of these things are lost in today’s world, and as I continue to broaden my perspective of how these women think, as I continue to research the last 10 years of trends in media and subliminal ideologies, I’m realizing this seems almost by design. The same way a women will get a tattoo saying it’s meaningful, 80% of men want their women’s body to be 100% natural (flaws and all, no artificial). That’s a problem that women are being lied to about destroying their bodies with images of idols, same with men (they should not tattoo). Anyways, Cheers. I’m just researching the mindset of women to further help minister to women and men whom seek assistance and choose to turn to God. I see it all too much, and the amount of children negatively affected by these vain ideologies is about to show heavily in the next 5 years. The idea of Family and building legacy and taking pride in your bloodline is dead. People just want to live their life, have “fun” all the way until death and just let their family bloodline die. The exact opposite of Gods commands, so I wonder who’s responsible for this way of thinking?

The one thing that feminism didn’t account for was the feeling left out of the couple’s scene when you get older. Women are more social, men really could care less about going to a group dinner or a 2 year olds birthday party. There is much more to life than gossiping about other people. Feminism has broken the social norms of society, so don’t feel insignificant when you don’t follow them. Embrace your freedom.

Love this video! I'm single and I'll be 30 in December. When I was younger I thought I'd be married with a kid at this point (my closest friends are all married with kids/starting to have kids). But HONESTLY I'm kinda glad i still haven't settled. I could've had that family life already, but I would've committed to relationships that wouldn't have been everything I've deserved or would've been happy with. My family and friends used to say I was too picky or to throw myself into dating more instead of career/work. Now they have started to understand where I come from and embrace it with me. They see with all my self love work that I've become a happier person than many of my friends in relationships. I'm a strong believer in trusting the universe and it's never let me down. I know eventually I will have the family and be happy that I got thru the single self love life. It made me a better person to bring into a relationship for my future spouse. It took me a long time to get to that thought process and place like u, but it's really worth it in the end.....this logic isn't just for females either. I have a twin brother who was engaged, had a job that he could retire with, and ready to start a family at 25. Weeks before the wedding, he realized that family life isn't what he needed or wanted. He needed to be single and find himself first. He too is single and lives in a house with 4 of his friends (2 are males pushing 30 and single also). It's scary to redefine what "traditional" life is supposed to look like in ur late 20s/early 30s. But I'm glad this generation is doing it. We'll all make for happier and more fulfilled adults later in life! And I think that will help make this world a better place overall.

*it's not important to anyone except those who are going to judge you regardless of what you say, weather you are with someone or not. You have to be happy with yourself before you can be happy with anyone else. Dating apps are open invitations to the devil to come in and ruin your life. You have So much going for yourself, so much to be positive about. and that much is really encouraging. that's why i've watched when you actually upload videos. All the things you mentioned that you expect in this video are things that any polite "gentleman" would normally do. You gotta be all the you that you wish to be before you go lending yourself to someone else. and lets be honest that's all you really ever do is lend yourself to them because life is so short we only fill that void for each other for far too short of a time. There's no time to be wasting the short time we have on those who don't fit your "guidelines". It's ok to have expectations. To me knowing what you want and expect is sexier than someone who just goes with the flow or is afraid to do their own thing because you've got yourself together. Most ladies i've met can't say that. they are just sort of riding the wave of life alone and going wherever it takes them. I was really pleased to see the true joy and commitment in your face when i met you at play list live back in 2012 (the Phil and Ally Speed era) That day we were all standing in the hall way while Charles stood there greeting people. That's part of the reason i went over and clowned with him a bit before going on. I was so enamored i would have stood there babbling like a retarded person and the last thing i would have ever wanted to do was say something that would interrupt or interfere in any way with the happy life you appeared to have going. I actually liked the Phil we all got to see in the videos. I am sure from what you're saying that the off camera Phil was a bit different though or you would still be together. Long and short of it, there are no judgements here because most of what you've said i am 100% in agreement with. I feel and think much the same way. and the absolute WORST thing you can do is get in a relationship that's comfortable. it's far too easy to become complacent in a relationship. You should challenge each other constantly. That's how you grow. Encourage each other to do and learn new things. That's what keeps life interesting and exciting. Being comfortable and settled just leads to taking each other forgranted and maybe at first just not being as complimentary to each other as you both think you should be. Next thing you know you hate each other and all hell breaks loose and you're both pretty much sitting there wondering what the hell happened and where it all went wrong. By then it's too late, it's over and all you can do is grab your stuff and go. Unfortunately i've been there and wasted FAR too much time on those who weren't worthy of that time and EVERY SINGLE TIME i do the same thing and every time i regret it that much more because i let myself down by settling for ms. right now instead of finding ms. right. HUGE mistake and it's unfortunately one i keep making*

Dear Mel, this reflects my experience a lot. I am single at 26, yet most of the advice from 20-somethings “enjoy, don’t worry, you have a lot of time” etc. is not helpful to me. I have always been single and have enjoyed it for many years. Meanwhile my friends are getting babies, getting married etc. My focus for the past few years has been on getting education abroad and learning who I am, which is important, since I have experienced relatively traumatic childhood & therefore I had to re-learn who I am. This age to me is bittersweet. I am sometimes afraid of getting closer to 30, because society says that around that age dating is “impossible”, but your video (and the comment section) really helps me to know that I am not alone.

I’m 44 and single. Then again I have fears of dating and commitment from my abusing marriage that ended 18 years ago. Therapy has helped me a little bit. Then again I’m old school and wait for men to make the first move. I talk to random strangers. Mostly female, very little men. Complimenting them on whatever even what they’re wearing. If I see a pregnant woman it feels good to me to compliment them on their natural beauty.

I agree--a completely valid question. As a general rule, your dating pool is only as big as those people who are willing to date you. If you're rejecting everyone in your dating pool, then it is entirely your own fault that you're single. A coworker was distraught about her lack of dating options, and complained about how lonely she was, and how she couldn't figure out what she was doing wrong. I told her that she rejected all of the men that were willing to date her, and those men were her opportunities to be in a relationship with. She said that she didn't like those men, that they didn't meet her standards, and that she can't control what she is attracted to. I told her that she has the right to have standards, but that she obviously didn't meet the same standards as the men she wants to date, otherwise she wouldn't have so much trouble attracting those men.

When I split from my ex I learned quickly that rushing into relationship after relationship wasn't a good thing, so I took a step back & thought about the things I wanted in a relationship & how I wanted to be treated. It took me awhile to figure everything out on my own, but the funny thing is I wasn't looking for a relationship when Mr. Right walked into my life. He still amazes me each day & yes we do argue, but not in the way some couples do. When either of us raises our voices the other does a hand's down gesture so the voice lowers. It's a simple thing, but it works & keeps tempers from escalating beyond reason. This year in October it will be officially our 18 yr anniversary. I did 18 yrs with my ex & it was a very abusive & explosive relationship to say the least. I can honestly say the past 20 years has been fantastic & I learned that when you AREN'T LOOKING FOR A RELATIONSHIP is when it'll find you! 👍❤ Keep doing you & you'll see that when the time is right that your Mr. Right will walking into your life & sweep you off your feet. (((Hugs))) & prayers (& OMG baby Remi Sol Squiggles Trippy is gorgeous!) 💗

Ok I have to be straight up honest. There is no fun in being alone or lonely.... none. Who in there right mind wants to be alone/lonely? We are social beings we are created to feel and interact with each other. I'm in the process of getting divorced and currently separated. I tried this bullshit finding yourself by being alone it doesn't work. The best thing you can do is build your self confidence change/work on the bad things about yourself then find someone who will value you. The alternative is to live a sad boring lonely facade life as if everything is ok when it isn't. Oh yeah if you are a female over 30 and still unmarried or previously divorced maybe you need to do some personal self work and get brutality honest perspectives about yourself that aren't yours or your girlfriends.
@NM-ru2qj3 жыл бұрын
I agree with this. Honestly I would hate to be older and single. Life is not fun when you are single, the problem is most of us don’t realize this until we actually do get older. It’s all fun and games until you reach a point in which you realize your friends who are all married now all have priorities - their spouses and their children COME FIRST. This limits the time they have to spend with you. Ever wonder why most married people only befriend other married folks? Because they have the same priorities as them and will understand their busy lifestyle. Your life changes when you have a kid, even when you get married but when you have a kid it will change tremendously . Your time is no longer your own and there’s nothing wrong with that as that is the natural course of life. Most people want and will have children. When you find that your friends no longer have time for you you will probably turn to your parents...who are getting older by the day and are longing for grandkids. Parents do die at some point and all parents want grandchildren. Your career is not going to give you fulfillment in life. When you die you’re not leaving behind your career or money you’re leaving behind children, that is your legacy. It makes you have purpose in life. Feminism brainwashed women and they are only waking up too late. My advice to younger women who are on this channel is not to make the same mistake as this lady. If you are in your early 20s as a woman recognize that time is on your side, take advantage of that fact. You can Juggle for your education and career at the same time while looking for a potential spouse. This is the best time to find someone. Your odds of getting married decrease every single year, as a female, this is just the reality of things. The sooner you not only realize this and act upon this realization , the better off you will be. I know too many girls who made this mistake and either married too late or never got married..they are regretting how they spent their youth. Spinsterhood is a curse that I wouldn’t want to wish on any female.

Because your peak years are pretty much gone your options of finding somebody else have been greatly reduced too. 😑😕 You are also competing with rival ideologies that have gone from the underground into the mainstream in the last 10 years. Here I mean MGTOW & the Red Pilll which have been somewhat successful in removing men from the dating market. 🤔 Plus who iniated the breakup in the first place ? You or him ? I'm guessing it was you as the logics (on the basis of your outcome) dictate your reaction (remorse). You thought he wouldn't or couldn't get over you (but he did) which may imply a calculative (even manipulative) move on your part. If he broke up with you then it's too sensible that you are having feelings of autoreflection (what if questions etc.). 🙄

Single and 30 is actually not so bad... If you have someone, well, that's good... If you don't, well, it's not our turn yet or it's a blessing in disguise. For me, single and living with parents is a bit hard as you don't alone time that much, you are not able to set your own rules and you are under the impression that you are dependent to your parents to some people. However, living alone even in just a small studio apartment with pets if you have pets is quite fun too... It's not about when you're alone, you can have parties and go out and go crazy... It's not that but it makes you have your own space and you can find your me time according to your own time and schedule. Furthermore, it makes you feel empowered that you are able to have your own personal space... From there, you can organize your own schedule... For me, it's not all bad... There's pros and cons to everything... Slow down, enjoy life and if it's meant to be, it will be... For now, let's take a breath and just try to achieve our goals step by step...

Being a single woman in your 30's isn't a bad thing. It's a blessing. I am just like the girl in this video. I enjoy my alone time and when I go home after work I enjoy going home to peace and quiet. Since my ex brokeup with me three years ago I've been focusing on getting myself together with my walk with God. My job. My driving and the take the opportunity to just get up and go where I want to take the world by storm. Yes! I desire marriage but, I'm not desperate. If that where true than I would of ended up with one of my ex's or the guys who came after them. So society stop telling us ladies that, "you need a man!" No!!!!! We need time. We need opportunity. We need space. We need food. Water and shelter. Those are all needs A man is just extra. Marriage is a wonderful thing but, it's not everything. This who saying, " your clock is ticking." "Your eggs are dying." It's all garbage and lies. And, no one dies an old maid. Don't let the old folks brainwash you. But, if you do get into a relationship and your happy that's great but, don't forget to stay true to yourself and don't loss yourself in a person.

Most of them were in relationships and lied to me and the others just didn’t want to be in a relationship so I parted my ways. Now I’m still singles and find that idk.. maybe I won’t ever meet someone and I’m at the point to just give up. I am lonely most of the times and it’s heartbreaking that I’m thinking that the possibility of me having my own family isn’t what God wants for me. I tired dating apps and find that I’m not matching with anyone I am interested in. Or I match with guys but they never messaged me so I end up unmatching them or they say hey, but it never goes nowhere. I’m just frustrated. It’s really sad. I know that I’m not ugly. I’m fun, I respect myself and other. I’m creative, I work hard. But it’s like no one likes me. Idk what I’m doing wrong. I really don’t know. I know how to have a conversation but yeah I don’t know.
