You make it look routine and simple but I know that could have gone sideways hundreds of different ways. Just goes to show that you have the experience to read a wreck before you grab a single hook and have a fair idea of what it's likely gonna do if you tug here or there. Have a safe holiday and may the new year bring you peace and happiness.

lowered96 volvo960 Thank you. I've been in the business for over 20 years. One of my goals with these videos is to help people learn. A lot of employers don't offer training and official training takes time and money that a lot of operators just don't have. If somebody can learn something that will help make them safer or make their time in the danger zone shorter, then I believe I have done a little something. I'm glad you enjoy my videos. Thanks for watching. Stay safe.

Sir this is part of the reason I follow this channel I'm not into the towing or emergency community but sometimes there is information on what to do or not to do while driving on the road, and we all can learn from others mistakes or advice if we watch listen and learn. Plus it hurts less if your not the one who messes up!

I was amazed that with all that front end damage, there was no airbag deployment. I've seen it happen before though, the damage just didn't involve one of the senors. either that or they stopped working for some reason. They were lucky. I would like to make one more observation. Twenty years ago you just didn't see recovery work being attempted with roll backs. The skills and additional needed equipment were just not readily available in the industry. It was assumed that the torsional forces like you put on the bed while completing this recovery would damage the bed or the hydraulics. Instead, that would have been a wrecker winch out and dolly job. I myself resisted rollbacks for many years because of that. Now with side pullers and everything else, the only real disadvantage I see is the length of wire rope that can be spooled onto the winch.

Unless it triggers the sensor which is behind the first cross member, the bag won't deploy. On this car, the damage looks mostly cosmetic and perhaps radiator, coolers, etc which are on the outside of the cross member.

airbags in modern cars deploy on when certain conditions are met. Speed and force of impact must be over certain threshold. Otherwise it may be more bad than good or something. And they never go off like in comedies when victim lightly taps car in front.

OMG I am so sorry Ron Pratt, I completely forgot about your channel. So much has been going on and I have been moving and had issues with my big Camper, and Landing jacks and landing legs. Sheared a Spring pin on the Landing Leg on the left side so the landing leg would not go up so I couldn't get it on the truck tow ready. Fixed it, got it on the truck and then broke another spring pin and the landing legs would not go down so it was stuck on the truck until I took it all back apart again and fixed it. Now I am parked on my new property and find out the well water pump does not work for some ungodly reason so I have no water, and still no furniture for the house so I am staying in the camper until I get those things fixed. At least we have Electricity, a water pump, freshwater tank, Sewer, and Propane gas in the camper. Hell I might just deed and lude the house and pull the camper around on the truck.. live in it.. Sick of this..
