My mom was a single mom for almost all of me and my sibling's childhood because of the abuse my father used to do to us, she had always got shamed for being a single mom and without anyone knowing why she really was single. It was hard seeing my mom being shamed by people because of that reason but it showed that she's a strong person that doesn't need a man to help her.

And shame on that mother for belittling and talking down to a single mom who clearly raised her son right, and gave him so much time, help and love despite her busy job. A father being left to raise the kids alone while the mom is off doing God knows what is much more common than people think. I'm a family lawyer and I see it quite often. *Ideally* a child should have two loving parents (and a caring extended family) but on more than a few occasions I've had to say to my client that he/she and the kid are better off with the other one out of their lives.

Everyone around us always expects us to become failures in life or even out in the streets just because we don’t have a dad.
