Years ago, I went out with a single mother for 6 months pre my red pill days. I slowly became something approaching a servant. I was just there to complement & assist in her life. There was no recognition of the effort I put in. If the boot was on the other foot, there was no way she would do the same. When I dumped her & drove away for the final time...the feeling that I'd gotten my life back washed over me! How I approach life, dating & any relationship or even a friendship is: if the boot was on the other foot, would they do that for me? If it's a no, walk away from that. Life's too short

I can vouch for the message. Was raised by a single mum and I used to be the most obedient, calm, walked over guy on earth. Basically I presented myself on a silver platter to the bullies in my life. She even found it funny when I tried to exercise at home while growing up. Anything masculine was funny or evil to her. I really feel sad, not because of who she is, but because of the mother that I could have had when I was young. I was quite fortunate when my parents got divorced. My Dad only lived about 20 minutes away and he didn’t put up with any bs, and we were living with my Grandparents. My Grandfather happened to be a combat vet and had many distinguished medals for actually stacking bodies, and he definitely didn’t put up with any bs either. And I’m thankful now for it!

I was raised by a single mom, visiting my dad for 1 weekend a month, with the only male role models in the house being a literal schizophreniac, a narssistic fat man and a guy with very short temper (yes, 3 different men in about 10 years growing up), all high earners but not one that I ever respected. I had nowhere to look for a man I wanted to be, the schools didn't help and I was one of those angry angsty, clinically depressed men who just wanted equality cause I always felt myself to be at the bottom so I thought equality would just get me stuff. Now my little sister is having a similar pattern where she changes her boyfriends more frequently than I change my phone, from drug dealers to soldiers to engineers, mimicking her and having just as much luck with sustainable relationships as she did, at 26 years old. It wasn't until 4 years ago at age 24 when I started to realise just how hard that early life and a lack of a male role model fucked with my mentality, just trying to suppress anything that was in any way masculine, subconsciously making myself weak so I couldn't hurt anyone. 4 years after that realization I've done 3 years of Muay thai 2-5 evenings a week, a year of MMA, gained 10 kg of muscle, finished high school that I left due to depression, got into an engineering program and for the first time in my life women don't have that look of pity/amusement in their eyes when they look at me. The worst part about all of this? I genuinely believe my mother tried her best, I really do. She was never absent, she told me she hated the men she attracted to me and my sister when I was a teenager (though I didn't understand what she was talking about at the time), she forced me to go see my dad if I didn't feel like going and she didn't let me just play videogames all day like I wanted to, she forced me to go to hockey training in my early teens before I quit. I cannot *imagine* the destruction a feminist single mother who intentionally suppresses their boys' masculine development does, in terms of single mothers *I* consider myself lucky, and this is how I turned out. And school/society has gotten even worse for men, we are so fucked.

I was raised by women. My mother took care of mostly everything. She had to be the mother and the father. A next to impossible task. She wanted me to put arithmetic before my feelings. My grandmother use to say, "Don't let your eyes deceive you." Do as I say not as I do sort of thing. I think they wanted me to be a shark and an assertive male. They were cruel at times. Too cruel. Be the opposite of the shit I married. Single mothers are fine on their own. Bullshit. I have never been married and I take no nonsense. And single mothers are a turn off.

I was of what i tought an Alpha male, have a business, make good money, until i fell for a single mom of 3. she was gorgeous, and we had a relationship for 4 years witch the last 2 years was hell. Until I told her next time she brings that up, the door is wide open. She stoped after that. She quit her job and learned and had a position in my company where she was making good money. and with minimum help for the household. I felt like i was livin in her house rather than my house at some point. Sex never stop, but we had constant arguments. We broke up february 2021, she moved out and right away she started to date other dudes. I was focusin on my business until the hot season came in and i shooted her a text asking her if she was goin to come to work the season. She say yes, and made the arrangments to put on hold her current job. Man I tried to get back in track with her and did everithing i could to recover what i tough we once had. I took her on vacations, i invest my time, emotions etc, to find out she was talking to others dudes while I was trying to "work things out" I left her february 2022 and we got back together a month later, and from the begining she was demanding marriage and living together. At this point I bought a new house but didnt told her about it cause i wanted to see her actions etc. Man long story short the whole 2022 it was a nightmare, I dont know what happen to me , i shoulded left when i could. I told her that if by end of the year we are good, we can move in together once again. man God is good i guess. Right on November 1st 2022 after having sex, she went to take a shower, and i grabed her phone (i noticed she was acting weird for the past week) sure enough she was taking nudes nd stuff nd sending to who knows. when i confronted her she tried to flip the switch towards me. she slaped me and took her phone from me. I pushed her away and told her to get out of my house. She looked at me and said...You goin to jail! man she left my place, and 10min later i had cops at my door. she made a whole story about me pushing her and dragging her on the ground. man now i have spend money in attoerney, have shit on my record for the first time in my life. I spend 36hrs in jail for the first time. and that B@tch just dissapeared. She didnt gave 2 fu@# stay away from those single moms my mistake - i shoulded follow my gut feelin when i met her (sorry for the miss spells im benting from my phone)

I would love for you to put out content on how moms can support their sons or other young men they may have an influence on in their younger years. Are there factors that you think are important in raising strong, competent, and resilient young men? I just don’t think this comes naturally to moms, in general, for obvious reasons. I make it ok for my boys to express their feelings, which I think is important, but in the next breath, I encourage them to pull themselves together and move on.
