MB excellent video as always and both the RDS and Sundown are wonderful choices just depends on what you want the most a little bit more volume or a little bit more lows

That sounds like it slaps it was running smooth without clipping. Those lows from a 8inch is crazy. Is that box ported and what upgrades to battery or alternator have been made?

Since the rds has a much stiffer suspension it would probably win on a burp, where the suspension power handling is most important. But thermally they're probably about the same, which means the sundown is gonna win on music

First thing I like to say is I hate sundown,,, I said it ,,I'm here whatever,,, Not only was the peak higher average was to,,, so Sundown got it all the way through

But here people will focus on how they think the RDS is louder/better because it peaked 31hz, Sundown looks to play a bit flatter & loader through the 30hz range.

Yep a 129.41 at 33hz for at least 30 around 2:30 mark. EBEnclosure I’m loving all these comparison videos. I’ve got MTX 801D pushing a couple 2007 Kicker Comp CVR 10’s in a prefab box that my stepdaughter wants. So I’ve been thinking about a couple Sundowns or B2 Audio 8’s in my 2015 Malibu. I’m still not sure on my Amp yet though.

Definitely hitting hard,but take a close look it might be getting a little assistance from your sub,if you look the sundown is making your sub act like a passive radiator.

RDS wins it sounds better cleaner it might have messed up the mic cuz this sounds like garbage even though it's hitting hard it don't sound good on my headphones I seen both videos RDS wins

Can't use same box, same power. Efficiency will be different. Box rise will be different. You know that. It's like throwing two subs in a generic box and say See! Louder. Unless box specs are exactly the same and efficiency is exactly the same its a mute point. Besides DD kicks both their @$$es. Lol. Louder not lower could be box.

Huh sir.. watch the meter. The loudest frequency was 37hz , but it did a 128@33hz as well.. watch the meter as the video plays real time

@@M.B.Enclosures SPL boxes are a different beast as you know. What's the resonant frequency of the vehicle and the Thiele parameters of each sub. Resonant frequency of sub and vehicle and efficiency of the sub and and realize the less efficient sub will need more power then test them then you have a legitimate comparison. Plus SPL doesn't mean loud. SPL is sound pressure. DB is how loud. No disrespect but the test is not a true comparison. Besides. Who gives a damn about what it does on the meter. Which one sounds better and digs deeper. That's the king. Also the DD sounds better than both and definitely digs deeper. You want to do a comparison do the New version DD against either and you tell me which sounds better and hands them their @$$. Lol. Take care brother and have fun doing it! Peace ✌️
