When we were little no such needs were there. If needed 'pattal' made out of Sal leaves were available. I think we can still buy them, Irony is Germany is promoting it. Other alternatives are buy paper plates coated with Aluminium. Second thing, we made our own ear buds. Taking new jhadu sticks ( seenk wali) we sharpened it and rolled cotton at one end using a drop of water.

We can also use neem wood comb, bamboo toilet roll, shampoo bars, reusable bamboo kitchen towel rolls etc

We can use bamboo kitchen reusable towels to avoid kitchen towels, bamboo toilet rolls, neem wood combs etc.

Exactly! Police keep raiding shopkeepers and imposing heavy fines over and over again, but plastic manufacturing companies face no consequences.

Better Alternative for stainless steel and bamboo straws are paper or cardboard straws. Few brands have already started using it.

as per my knowledge, till date there are no 100% compostible bags available in india. the ones i found do not degrade fully.

If it is banned then how it is being used every where , I see , frooti , amul products use paper straw but all the products are of plastic

It’s all a massive con and I waste of time. Is there a ban on children’s toys made almost completely out of plastic? No. Is there an effort world wide to end plastics in children’s toys? No. If you visit any toy shop in Britain and ask what the companies doing about plastics you will get a blank response. The fight against plastics means nothing if it’s not attacked from all fronts. And for YEARS I have not heard a whisper about plastic in toys.
