This is the W5152 20v cordless impact wrench from Ingersoll rand. It is their first Brushless cordless tool. It is a compact impact wrench and puts out 365 ft-lbs of reverse Torque.
Product in video:
W5152 IMPACT : amzn.to/2qJEdUh
Socket set: 1/2" drive Impact deep metric amzn.to/31O0CfS
Socket set: 1/2" drive Impact deep INCH amzn.to/2JqQYd4
Socket set: 1/2" drive Impact SHALLOW metric amzn.to/31Pl93I
32mm axle nut socket: amzn.to/2pituQe
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
It is a great lightweight alternative to the full size impact in their lineup the W7150 which you can see in action in this video:
• w7150 impact wrench re...
but it obviously does not put out the same amount of power.
The impact is meant for smaller fasteners and it is great for times where space is limited. On the larger impact where you may
need to use a swivel or extension this impact can easily reach into tight spaces without a swivel. It is almost half the size of the full size impacts. I don't have the full size IR to compare it to anymore but here is it compared to other impacts in size
goo.gl/photos/6ePEhRTs95VKn7cP7
It has 3 light settings and a full SMD LED light ring.
It is not just a couple of LED's behind a diffuser the whole ring is lined with LED's. The light also has a setting for use as a work light.
The impact has 4 power settings: hand tight,wrench tight,mid power and max power.
On reverse it is max power. The battery that came with this kit (w51520-k12) was a 5AH battery.
You can buy tool as a bare tool, with one 5AH battery and charger or with 2 batteries a 2AH and a 5AH that is under the model w5152-k22.
There is a 3/8 version of this impact under the model w5132 with the same power. The difference appears to only be in the anvil size. I bought the 1/2" because I mostly use
1/2" sockets.
I will say if you are worried about scratching it Ingersoll Rand apparently has a cover/boot coming out for it. The front nose cone is polished aluminum and looks beautiful but
will scratch very easily.
This impact has almost 130ft-lbs more torque output than the Snap ON CT8810
Ingersoll has now upgraded their full size impact wrench which will be the most powerful on the market it is named the w7152.

Powerful little impact, I've always liked ingersoll rand products over the main market yellow and reds. They seem to put a little more details and good quality parts into their products.

love watching your videos of the tools being put through their paces. My top favorites are the Ingersoll and Makitas. I ended up with both brands in both 1/2 and 3/8th impacts. I will have to buy this new baby as well. I'd like to see those angle impact ratchets in action if you plan on testing those as well. Whats selling me is that work light setting option, and the handtight setting.

Thank you for watching and comment glad you like it :) Id love to try that IR W5350 but I was reading the torque is more like 100ft-lbs than 180 and I know that is too low for most of the rusted stuff i'm always working on so it kind of scared me off lol as it is not cheap so I was just not sure on that one :) The right angle impact is just an impact it doesn't have the ratchet so you can't manually break the fastener loose so if the torque isn't there you are out of luck and have to break out the ratchet
@addictedtopussy69
@addictedtopussy69 8 жыл бұрын
I had my doubts about the right angle impact as well. Didn't realize you can't break it loose first like those air ratchets. I'd wish ingersoll would come out with an angle cutter or grinder already. Thanks for the great video tool action.

IR has a ratchet but it's not a impact ratchet its similar to the milwaukee ratchet the model is R3150 . Oh yeah an angle grinder would be really cool. I know what you mean without the ratchet part on the right angle impact it kind of loses it appeal

haha. The ingersoll 12V series have ratcheting mechanism. The people on that thread seem to like mentioning Milwaukee tools a lot. Milwaukees are good at inflating their numbers and looking good on paper, feeling good in the hand and nice looking design but underneath all that front houses an inferior design compared to makita and ingersoll in my opinion. Its an interesting thread there, thank you for the link and keep up the tool testing action videos!

I have posted many impact wrench videos on my channel from IR , Makita , Dewalt and even RYOBI and never have I unstaked an axle nut. There must be 40 axle nuts I have posted being removed without unstaking them. I even posted a video showing the torque it requires to deform the stake of the nut but people continue to believe this tab will stop the nut from turning...which is not the case. I have never met a dealer mechanic that unstakes honda axle nuts...because you do not have to as they are not staked over threads.

Anyone who believes this impact could not remove the axle nuts because of that .065 thick tab doesn't know what the they are talking about.

I bought one too I havnt had chance to make vid. How do you like it. I like the 3 speed , it is small and nice weight, wish they changed the light its too weak. It has a nice hog ring too like its not just a piece of wire it is beveled so the socket slides on and off nice! Makes me want to sell my dewalt and buy the big milwaukee too. Have you ever seen the one key impact? I tried it and it is very cool the impact has adjustable torque and speed seperately! So you can go full rpm and it won't impact when the nut/bolt tightens down....I dont know how they do that but it is very cool

@slpip
@slpip 7 жыл бұрын
I trusted the IR hammerhead review and I made a mistake to buy one. It is small at the head but mine leak out grease at the head and the handle everywhere. The power of the IR hammerhead can't take off my ML 320 lug nuts at 50 ft-lb. Over one year without used it once, warranty expired and ended up with a crappy air tool. No, your review is right. You didn't knock out the wheel bearing nut lock so that it made the impact tool struggle so much or it couldn't even take off the nut because of the nut lock. People can see the IR struggling hard to take off large bolt/nut. We want to see a fair review. Thank you for the review video.
