hi guys. we're single. and today we talk about it and let you in on our personal lives in a way we haven't before.
we know this episode is a long one... we debated splitting it into two parts but decided it was best to keep it together as we didn't want the second half without the lead up & scripture in the first.
the first hour of this episode is all things singleness-- from a biblical standpoint. we talk about why it is a gift (we knowwwww it feels like a curse, we know), what to do when your single, and how to look at it as a blessing with scripture to back it up.
the second hour (at almost exactly the 60:00 mark) we just let loose. we had been getting so many messages of GGB gang wanting us to let our goofy sides shine for at least one episode-- and we definitely did just that! we had you guys ask us questions and we answered them. the most personal questions might i add (ex's, break ups, who we're currently dating, our ideal types, our worst first dates, our icks & red flags). we spend the second hour doing what we do best, laughing til it hurts.
we hope you stay for the whole episode.
we love you more than you know.
Jesus loves you even more.
-Ang & Ari

Going to leave this here as a reminder for myself. Whenever this gets a like I will get reminded. Sometimes I wonder why God makes me wait. I know his plan is perfect. I know God has me waiting for a reason. It feels like I've been in isolation for a long period now. I'm about to get back into doing what I love. I know God will always be with me. I give my life to Jesus Christ. I know looking back I'll be able to connect the dots. Understanding it had to happen just as it did. All the heartbreaks, setbacks, and nights worrying about if you're on the right path. It will all be lifted once I get there. To anyone out there. God will never abandon you.

Single is best because when your focus is on Jesus and you delight yourself in the Lord, He will bring you the desires of your heart. That includes a right relationship. However, seek God and do His will in these last days. In staying single with Jesus and persuing Him, you trust the One who knows, sees, and has all things you need and want

I did what you’re doing, didn’t get married until I was 46. Regrettably I knew within the first month it wasn’t the right person. After 16 years we divorced. My heart is for the Lord, but you’re gonna have a taste of reality ahead of you that you don’t anticipate. I’m just saying……

Contentment in singleness feels so right. It is so wonderful and being able to focus on God, learn as much of His word, enjoy the space to create fun stuff, etc. is so peaceful. Having peace and a relationship with Jesus is the best.

Thanks for sharing. When a person puts their trust in GOD THROUGH JESUS CHRIST, THE HOLY SPIRIT WILL GUIDE AND COMFORT THEM in every area of their lives, including dating. With caps as emphasis, a prayer of surrender to GOD using JESUS CHRIST AS THE MEDIATOR to urge the broken, wounded, empty, desperate and guilty to be mended, healed, filled rescued, and pardoned by HIM. On a balcony of space STEPPED A PURE AND HOLY GOD. IN AWESOME SOLITUDE YOU STOOD ALONE. Not one faint star to give YOU light; just endless darkness, it was blackest night. But somehow in the darkness YOU COULD SEE. YOU SAW mountains high and lofty, YOU SAW valleys lush and green. YOU SAW babbling brooks, and wildflowers grow, YOU EVEN HEARD a robin sing. Then through YOUR COMPASSION STANDING OUT THERE IN YOUR TOMORROW, YOU SAW forum's visitors, their families and friends. 🥰 YOU SAW them as sinners (missing the mark when aiming to solve a problem then creating another resulting in their weaknesses prevailing causing guilt of wrong doing) because there is no intrinsic righteousness in any of us due to Adam’s sin. YOU SAW them as they grew from a baby into adulthood due to YOUR HANDS OF MERCY. 🥰 YOU SAW them pursuing a career path for the purpose of obtaining the gains of the world not realizing that it is a loss compared to what YOU DID on the cross. YOU SAW them working long and laboring hard to receive justification by grace even though YOU stated, "This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent"… (John 6:29 KJV). YOU SAW the unwillingness to accept YOUR PLAN OF SALVATION THROUGH YOUR SON JESUS CHRIST. YOU SAW them living with the guilt of committing crimes to the heart. YOU SAW them enduring personal crisis. YOU SAW the weight of the burden on their hearts with each tribulation. YOU SAW them seeking comfort from the above mentioned topography, ONE OF THE MANY MARVELS YOUR PERFECT HANDS HAVE MADE. 👏👏👏 YOU SAW their worries about tomorrow. If their hearts were a window that they could look through, oh the pains and scars they would see. What a cruel fate the skin gives as a mask to the inward pain. But the skin couldn’t cover THE SUFFERING YOUR ONE AND ONLY SON BORED on the cross as PAYMENT for all our sins because HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS ALONE HAD THE MERIT TO MEET THE REQUIREMENTS OF YOUR HOLINESS. Indeed, ONLY HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS IS SUFFICIENT TO SAVE us from this present evil world as evidenced by Mary's song of praise. "And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord, And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour" ...(Luke 1:46-47 KJV). Awesome thanks to YOUR GREAT PARDON for being easy on the heart. 🥰 They have seen a lot of crazy things done in YOUR NAME. For example, the father of lies futile attempts to make crooked the right ways of the LORD to turn people away from faith in the WORKS OF JESUS CHRIST ALONE. How can anyone bear the thought of his or her life story detracting from the GLORY AND HONOR KNOWN TO BELONG TO CHRIST ALONE? As a consequence, YOU ARE A MYSTERY OF GREAT MYSTERY to them. Despite this conviction, YOU ARE MINDFUL of them as evidenced by the fact that YOUR JUDGEMENT is not speedy, allowing them to pursue the desires of the flesh. They are aware of hypocrisy in religious assemblies that like to be seen and heard. In addition, secular education teaches that there is no right and wrong, if GOD exists there is no way of relating to HIM, and moral standards shift according to the whims of fashion. Therefore, their minds are conditioned to question everything this world has to offer including “THY POWER THROUGHOUT THE UNIVERSE DISPLAYED.” They have accepted the heavy burden of dealing with the troubles of this life and seek to know another way, YOU THE GREAT COMFORTER TO ALL who did receive YOU as their personal SAVIOR. Still, YOU have shown them NEW MERCY every day with each thought they make and each breath they take. Unfortunately, like the prodigal son, we are all guilty of wandering far from YOU LORD because the negative experiences of our lives tend to build roadblocks to the TRUTH. As time marches on, JESUS CHRIST HELP them to identify the way, truth, and eternal life (that is YOU). Since to know and follow your SPIRIT is more exciting than any 007 movies, and YOU DELIGHT MAKING the ordinary into extraordinary. As time marches on, JESUS CHRIST MAKE them understand that there is no way around YOUR TRUTH, and that there is something about YOUR NAME. As time marches on, JESUS CHRIST HELP them defeat in their minds what is false in YOUR EYES. LORD GUIDE their thoughts to know that the path of sin is hard on their hearts for the purpose of crying out to YOU to know the joy, peace of having the heavy burden LIFTED by THE GOD OF PEACE I AM, and ANCHOR their souls in THE HAVEN OF REST. In other words, LORD use the storms in their lives to get a hold of them to trust YOU and believe. In truth, YOU ARE THE JOY that seekest them through pain. LORD HELP their fainting hearts to believe that YOU, who was slain on the cross over 2000 years ago has the POWER TO CHANGE lives today through the INSTANTANEOUS GREAT FAVOR from GOD to the house of Israel made known in believers by YOU to make YOUR NAME EVERLASTING. 🥰 For as the statue liberates the citizens so the cross liberates the soul. ONLY YOU can calm the trouble waters of the mind when one admits to wanting salvation from one’s sinful nature, JESUS IS LORD, and believes in the heart that GOD RAISED HIM from the dead TO LIFT the heavy burden of sin's guilt away from the heart in accordance to YOUR WORD found in Psalm 51:1-10 KJV. 👏👏👏👏👏👏 O, the wonder of it all to experience within the flesh the feeling of a tree being cut back/pruned in order for it to grow stronger and more beautiful after meditating on the words of said Psalm. 🥰🙌 LORD MAKE them know that ONLY YOUR HOLY SPIRIT, through the experience of a new birth within believers, can prevent the family circle from being broken because THE HOPE OF ETERNAL LIFE YOU HAVE GRANTED means a chapter of their lives is decided. Creation sings the rebirth song for them yearly, through YOUR PROMISE of springtime, giving rise to the idea that by the mention of YOUR NAME flowers grow, and the desert blooms again. 🥰 LORD GUIDE their understanding of words to use to come into YOUR PRESENCE with an honest reverence of WHO YOU ARE to experience the beauty that time can't erase YOUR WISDOM resting on their faces. LORD STRENGTHEN their determination to never waiver in efforts to search for YOU because the wages of sin is too high for anyone to pay. Additionally, THE KING OF KINGS is needed in their hearts to learn how to expand their capacity to love for YOU are LOVE in any language. 🥰 Once they learn to speak it with boldness through YOUR WONDERFUL COUNSELING all the world will hear, and know that LOVE is the language of their hearts. So LORD, KEEP KNOCKING on their doors until they let YOU in to know hardships and struggles will end with a GREAT CELEBRATION WITH YOU. 🥰🙌 If one believes faith cannot be forced, YOU WILL GIVE that individual over to the stubborn heart to follow own counsel which will surely fail him or her to the extent that the punishment will last forever found in Psalms 81 NIV. Given this, I pray that YOU WILL MAKE that person see that this feeling is wasted for a world in which we become strangers as we age, gives us thrills instead of peace, aims to solve a problem but creates another, and unrest surges with each passing generation. Shed some light into their broken hearts for YOU ARE THE GREAT JEHOVAH, THE GOD THAT HEALETH thee. Lastly, LORD when they call on YOU in earnest prayer to come into their hearts to be born again (repentance manifesting itself in a changed life), I pray that YOU WILL GIVE them the blessed assurance of their salvation because nothing breaks YOUR HEART, or tears YOU apart like when they cry from the trials of the devil who comes to slander, falsely accuse, steal, kill & destroy. Only by drawing nearer to YOU LORD will put them on a path to a glorious one way trip winding upward to YOU where pain is not welcome because the heart will never break anymore. For ONLY YOU UNDERSTANDS our tears since YOU LOOK at the heart, while humans look at the flesh. O LOVE that will not let them go. When they don't have the strength to try, and have cried all they can cry hear their hearts that need YOU more today than yesterday. Many thanks LORD for speaking TRUTH in our lives TO BLESS those who are not offended by THEE. LET YOUR WILL BE DONE because YOUR LOVE ALONE CONQUERS everything by WAITING for them to cease struggling, and finally surrender to YOUR EMBRACE to learn about YOUR LOVE AND PROMISE TO TAKE CARE of your children exquisitely. 🥰 Since... "at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore"... (Psalms 16:11 KJV), and the nail print for them to know YOU by answering the following question. How did CHRIST LOVE people into a relationship with HIM? 🥰

As a daughter, I can say the best things you, as a father, can do for your daughter are: -walk with Jesus in surrender and continue to grow in your relationship with Him. Listen to Holy Spirit daily and make decisions with Him. -if her mom and you are together, love your wife well. If not and her mom is alive/present, treat her with respect and dignity -be present in your daughter's life and connect with her regularly

@@danilaroche1156 Being single gives us the full freedom to get right with GOD, to build into existence once lost relationship, between GOD and creation, between PARENT and child. 1 Corinthians Chapter 7 KJV 32 But I would have you without carefulness. He that is unmarried careth for the things that belong to the Lord, how he may please the Lord: 33 But he that is married careth for the things that are of the world, how he may please his wife. 34 There is difference also between a wife and a virgin. The unmarried woman careth for the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit: but she that is married careth for the things of the world, how she may please her husband. 35 And this I speak for your own profit; not that I may cast a snare upon you, but for that which is comely, and that ye may attend upon the Lord without distraction. this world presents love as lust, and if you`re not always touched, then you are not loved = lies and fear propaganda. All of it because the MK ULTRA PROJECTS from masons. John 15:13 KJV Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. And being ALONE (not on your own) does bring forth sober mind. What I have witness in my short life so far is, souls get together for money and because they are bored and the 3th reason is, the pressure of peers and older generations. “People around me repeated daily, get married and have children and move out, so I did. Am I happily living after? NO, i`m bitter, angry, sad, broken, in fear, heavy leaden, in darkness, always in somewhat contests with people around me, who has something better, something more and so on…, I succumbed to the fear of the opinions about my life of others, thats the hurtful truth.” KJV Bible says; Matthew 6:31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? Luke 12:22 And he said unto his disciples, Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on. Matthew 6:25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?

Indeed, it's better to wait patiently for the right person than to rush into a marriage just for the sake of being coupled. Choosing to remain single until the timing is right allows for personal growth, clarity, and readiness for a healthy and fulfilling relationship. Rushing into marriage without careful consideration can lead to unnecessary challenges and hardships. Your insight highlights the importance of patience and discernment in matters of the heart.

I haven’t lost my grandparents yet. My grandfather is 90 and my 81. They’ve definitely had questions about why they’re still here. I don’t know the answer to that but ik I still want them in my life, I can’t imagine life without them, and there’s so much I have yet to learn from them. I’ve nvr expressed it out loud to them bc it’s a selfish desire and value they value their independence and have no issues w dying bc they don’t want to be a burden. (Every reason they gave was bc they didn’t want to be a burden financially or emotionally or spiritually). That’s probably their influence bc I don’t want to burden them w my selfish desires even when I should. I think and hope your children and grandchildren feel the same.

Don't run in a relationship until you are sure you want somebody in your life. You choose them, don't let them choose you, however long it takes. It's better to be single, than attached to somebody who causes you pain. Trust me. Whenever I tried to run into something, to force something, it turned out bad. It's like God is directing us, and we sometimes don't listen. We should just have faith and listen.

But I also have come to believe no matter how much you prepare you’ll never be fully ready marriage brings out the best and worst in you but I wouldn’t trade it for the world. My encouragement if you’re single if you desire a spouse pray for one and pursue godly opportunities but if God doesn’t give it to you trust that he is Good and only gives you good gifts. Congratulations on your recent marriage! Thank you for sharing your insights and wisdom gained from your own journey into marriage. Your perspective on the challenges and blessings of marriage is both honest and encouraging. Indeed, no amount of preparation can fully equip us for the intricacies of marriage, as it continually challenges us to grow and adapt. However, embracing the journey with humility, grace, and a commitment to continual growth can lead to a deeply fulfilling and enriching partnership. Your encouragement to those who desire marriage to pray for it, pursue godly opportunities, and ultimately trust in God's timing and goodness is both practical and profound. God's plans for us are always good, even if they lead us outside of our comfort zones. Trusting in His sovereignty and His faithfulness brings peace and assurance as we navigate the uncertainties of life. My testimony is very very similar to your own. About 14 years ago, I shared my despairing past and how unworthy I was to ever get a Godly wife, and a brother in Christ told me this: "You will either find a woman with a large measure of grace, or a Godly woman with a similar testimony and past." Turns out he prophecied. a year later, I met an incredible, Godly woman with a large measure of grace. The most beautiful, gracious, prayerful, Godly woman I've ever seen before or since. We just celebrated our 11th anniversary last week. We have 5 children and we are going strong in the Lord. Do not settle for anything less than a Godly man, he may have a similar testimony or a large measure of grace, but I believe you will be a blessing to a good man of God.

Thank you for sharing your beautiful testimony! It's amazing to hear how God works in our lives and brings us together with someone who complements and supports us in our faith journey. Your story is a testament to God's faithfulness and His ability to bring beauty from brokenness. Your advice to not settle for anything less than a Godly partner is incredibly wise. When we prioritize Godliness and His purposes in our relationships, we set the foundation for a strong and fulfilling partnership. It's evident that you and your wife are a shining example of this, and your commitment to each other and to the Lord is inspiring. May God continue to bless and strengthen your marriage, and may your love for each other and for Him continue to grow with each passing day. Thank you for sharing your testimony and for being a source of encouragement to others.

There is so much I could say about your conversation. Thoroughly enjoyed it, you two can be a bit goofy, I laughed plenty! I was married at 18 to my high school sweetheart and we had 22 yrs of bliss together of course with all the ups and downs that come along with the journey. My beautiful wife passed away 2 yrs ago from cancer. I never imagined I’d ever be dating, I thought we’d be married to old age! Here I am struggling with the desires of the flesh and the desires of the spirit, not in alignment! Loneliness sucks, I was so use to relationship that learning to live with being single has been difficult! I first saw a clip of this video yesterday. I found it encouraging to hear focus on being single and work on my relationship with our Lord Jesus. I have been but hearing from you about when I can accept the singleness then I may be ready to date. Something like that. It resonated a lot with me! I wasn’t sure I’d like this podcast but I am pleasantly surprised! Well done young ladies!

When a person puts their trust in GOD THROUGH JESUS CHRIST, THE HOLY SPIRIT WILL GUIDE AND COMFORT THEM in every area of their lives. 🥰

Thank you!! It has been very tough and somewhat lonely over the last 7 years. I've honestly fallen a couple of times and let my flesh get in the way, but God continued to pour out his grace and mercy. It literally brings tears down my face while I'm sharing this because of the love of our Father. I have learned through deeper intimacy with the Lord that he is more than enough and even if he doesn't bless me with a wife that I will be full of joy and live a blessed life! Through this process I have learned to starve my flesh, feed my spirit man and let the spirit have his way. Now that God has got me where he wants me and I have finally passed this test that now he will bring the right woman into my life at his perfect timing. I believe she will be as beautiful as you two ladies are inside and out, full of the Holy spirit and ready to shake the gates of hell for the glory of God!! May the Lord bless you and keep you and make his face shine upon you both! Hopefully one day I'll get to meet you two! It would be awesome to sit down and have a conversation and just listen to the wisdom that God has poured into you both!

I saw the Shift a little over a week ago and I loved it. Would highly recommend seeing it. Im obsessed with Angel Studios. It was a very interesting modern twist on the Book of Job. Also Neal McDonough is amazing in the movie. I actually didn’t know the backstory before I went to see the film, I was just happy to see a familiar face. He plays a villain SO WELL. It’s sad to hear he got blacklisted for what he stood for. Thanks for discussing the movie so others are aware of it and may go support it!

I went to church to get myself through a break up years ago and went by myself, I LOVED it. It felt so good. I even walked there in the dead of winter, it was refreshing and it helped clear my mind. God is always the answer and he answered my prayers. 💕 I related with that on this episode. Nothing gives you more joy than valuing and loving yourself in the waiting season nothing is more rewarding than being able to validate yourself and heal. Delayed gratification is God’s way. Healing and being single is very necessary for growth. Angela, my son is 4 and energetic and he sat and listened to me read 4 chapters in the book of John. Read what Jesus Luke 24:47-48kjv Luke.24 Verses 46 to 48 [46] And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: [47] And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. [48] And ye are witnesses of these things. John 8:31-3231Jesus then said to those Jews who believed in him,* “If you remain in my word, you will truly be my disciples, 32and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.

Ima say something that may rile some people up but it's gotta be said...a lot of married couples can be doing a huge work for the Lord by opening up their homes to their single brothers and sisters. Loneliness tends to happen in churches where the building up of the saints, growing in Christ-centred sacrificial love, with unified hearts and minds, isn't considered as the most important part of the gospel mission.
@mygoodnewsgospel
@mygoodnewsgospel 5 ай бұрын
Your perspective on the role of married couples in ministering to single individuals within the church is thought-provoking and holds significant truth. Opening up homes and creating spaces of hospitality and community can indeed combat feelings of loneliness and isolation, fostering a sense of belonging and support among believers. The essence of the gospel encompasses not only personal salvation but also the building up of the body of Christ and the demonstration of Christ-centered sacrificial love. Creating environments where the church family can come together, grow together, and support one another reflects the heart of Jesus' teachings. By prioritizing unity, fellowship, and mutual encouragement, married couples can play a vital role in strengthening the fabric of the church community and advancing the gospel mission. Thank you for sharing this important message, which serves as a reminder for all believers to consider how they can contribute to the well-being and spiritual growth of their brothers and sisters in Christ.

I’m so worried not having a strong male figure in her life will cause emotional damage in the long run. Her father was a bad man who had no faith at all. God blessed me by making him leave me. I see now that was best for me and my daughter. But I do so badly want to meat a truly God fearing man. I have complete faith that God will put that man in my path when it is right.
