1997 Du Hast Wasn't allowed to listen to their type of music (over protective single mother) but found ways to do so anyway and they have been my go to band, safe place, happiness to fight my depression, and my favorite song writing inspiration since. Rammstein is the best!!

"Snow White" is also slang for cocaine, so by saying "Hier kommt die sonne" (Here comes the sun) they could mean the high from snorting cocaine. And the seven dwarfs worshipping Snow White could be a reference to drug addiction.

German guy here, Sonne is an Song for the Klitschko brothers, Ukrainians in germany. They used to be very famous and good Boxers.

Rammstein wrote this song at the request of the Ukrainian boxer and multiple world heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko. He was supposed to enter the ring to this song. By the way, in the song they count to ten like the referee.

Originally this song was written for a famous boxer, but the boxer didn’t like it because it was too heavy so they made it about abusive relationships, because Snow White is basically exploiting the band to get her gold so she can get high off it.

The original Snowwhite story was Russian and verry violent about a girl that slept with seven men...It was Disney who stole it ( like most of his stories) and made a child story of it. Rammsteins clip is more based on the original, nice reaction...
