He plays the second semifinal, there was no better option. And it’s still nothing compared to the terrible scheduling of Rune who played three matches and over 7 hours in 24 hours. His match against Sinner should have been the last one today.
@Alessandro-1977
@Alessandro-1977 2 ай бұрын
@@vactormarfin9714 Yes, obviously I meant 3 PM. In Grand Slam, they play at best of 5 sets, but at least have a day of rest between two matches. So, apparently, these kinds of tournaments are even more energy demanding, particularly with unfortunate schedules like Ruud or Rune in previous days
@user-vs7ld1lb7w

@Alessandro-1977 I think that in all Masters tournaments the quarterfinals, semifinals and final are played in the same court although they have at least one or 2 other big courts they can play at. Really don't understand that logic at all.
@patrikmarflak6559
@patrikmarflak6559 2 ай бұрын
@@user-vs7ld1lb7w The spectators who bought tickets want to see all matches, that’s why they don’t put two quarters or semis on different courts at the same time. But if a player needs to finish his match from previous day because of rain, then play the next round on the same day and the next one on the following day, the scheduling should take all this into account. Grand slams are better in this regard because there is always one day gap between matches, unless there are rain delays. In Masters the weather or couple of very long matches can really mess it up for some players.

As a Sinner fan I love how the rivalry between Sinner and Rune is shaping up, and I hope it will be like the one with Alcaraz in the future. As a fan you NEED an opponent you can hate on, and Rune is just that! Alcaraz is so lovable that you can't help but feeling sorry for him in a win or find solace in a loss from such an amazing sportsman. But that takes something away from the pleasure of winning against an incredible tennis player and true piece of s*it like Rune is! I really hope that the danish finally puts it all together so I can rejoice twice for the win of my player AND seeing the rival in the dust (or be twice as dejected in defeat!). That's what sport is about after all! 😃

Tsitaipas is very strong on clay and he is playing very well....on other surfaces I will say Sinner is favourite...here 50-50

tsitsipas putting much more spin on his backhand 👍

I think it’s the same, but i’s more effective on clay plus he has more time for the shot, especially on return, than on other surfaces. Doing a lot of spin is not helping him on faster courts. He has always been good on clay.

Humbert needs to play more aggressively, especially on clay. At 11:41, Humbert had 3 chances to go up to the net to put away with a volley and break back, but he chose to go up at the wrong time. Tsitsipas has been serving well and has not been broken so far. Sinner will take care of that.

Tsitsipas injecting a little more pace onto some of those backhands, beautiful shots. (the lift-off on the serve is still problematic, in my modest opinion though...)

People love to hate Novak, but first match blazed through, second match had to play the guy he lost to last year, third match had to play the guy he lost to earlier this year...the mental strength and sheer ability he has in unmatched and so impressive. Really hope we have a Novak x Jannik final...

I'm glad Rune won the second set, he actually got hooked really bad in the tiebreak, it would have felt like Sinner didn't actually earn the win if he had closed out the tiebreak. They literally showed the hawkeye with Sinners forehand being out, but for some reason they can't transmit that information to the umpire who was saying that it was in. Or just officially use the hawkeye? If you have it, why not just use it? Am I missing something? lol

De Minaur had many break points, a few 15/40 games when Djokovic served but played very poorly, many easy errors and didn’t get any break. He was intimidated by Djokovic and played very bad match.

Make no mistake, You-Know-Who is gunning for that third Money Carload title, RG defense, & Olympic gold. He will do or say anything to lull opponents into a false sense of security in an effort to get them to take their foot off the gas. If you step on court & up to the baseline without the single-minded, ruthless intentionality of giving it your all to deny him yet another win, you will lose. He is the Sentinel to the Top 20's X-Men.
