What I liked the most about this video is not really humor about the Chinese, but that revealed hypocrisy about Guy Minhai, who is forgotten, because he is captured by a rich country, and Dawit Isaak is not forgotten, because his captors are nor rich, nor powerful.

I am Chinese and I absolutely love Sweden! I feel really embarrassed by some of the bad Chinese tourists, but please trust me they are not the majority of Chinese people! The problem with this issue is that the Chinese citizens failed to follow the laws and were dealt with far more judiciously than Chinese law deals with foreigners (and I'm fully aware of this, having lived in China for 10 years). That the Minister would have the audacity to stand up at a press conference and demand that Sweden not only apologize, but take better steps to "protect" Chinese citizens is hypocrisy of the highest order, particularly when Chinese law enforcement does nothing to protect foreign interests in the country (do some research on the abuse of work contracts and the failure of the legal system to protect the rights of foreigners under contract), but also because China is essentially interfering with the policing of laws in Sweden, which could be seen as interference with a sovereign nation's internal policies, something that China flat out refuses to let other countries do with them. The minute you play the racism card, you're attempting to invalidate all the content, which isn't always the case. The simple truth is, the Chinese tourists violated the law, were dealt with in an appropriate manner, and are now causing an international row because they don't know how to book a hotel in Sweden. It's as simple as that. And for those of you who might want to retort to that, you would do well to remember that if you go to China, only certain hotels are licensed to accept foreigners, and they may not tell you this in advance, particularly if you're traveling with Chinese friends, which means when you get there, they won't honour your booking or even lift a finger to find a replacement for you. I have zero sympathy for the people who failed to book on the appropriate date or their treatment - maybe if China reciprocated the treatment it expected for its people in foreign countries it might receive it in return.

I myself, as a citizen of People's Republic of China, feels slightly offended with the latter video. Youku as a domestic website is mainly targeting Chinese people. And such video without further explanation is highly confusing, and, even unethical. I understand that state media may vary on their position. But such action is quite obviously lack of consideration, if any. HBO or any other media would deal this more properly than this. Old stereotypes aren't funny, but uploading a hate speech video stating that Chinese isn't equally treated in Sweden is even worse. It's fucked-up level of fucked-up. Nonetheless I think it's just a bad joke, there's no need to exacerbate this to diplomatic problem(I guess it's because of Dalai Lama?). Maybe it's time for some association like FCC in Sweden to intervene.
