Sinulog Free interpretation will never be the same without contestants from Leyte and Samar. They just know how it should be done.

No one beats this, not even Consolacion, San Nicolas, Lanao, or Even Buyogan. This is the best FI performance ever.

I can still remember this performance. I was watching this one live dre sa abellana. Grabe ug syaget tibuok audience ani all through out sa ilahang performance tanan nagbarog and was shouting every second sa ilahang performance kay always naay pasabog. And i was like mkproud oi kY waray waray ini.

Even up to this day, I still long to always type this festival's name in the search box. I've always been a fan of festivals in the Philippines - Aliwan, Sinulog, Ati-atihan, Dinagyang, Masskara, Pintados-Kasadyaan, and other big festivals, and I've come to realize that this is still the best out of all the performances I've been keeping updated on through the years. Next for me is the Buyogan also from Leyte. P.S. This is just a personal opinion. What's best for me might not be for you. Let's spread love not hate. God bless!

If all champions sa FI from this (2013) to 2020 magcompete again, this will still be the champion of the champions. For me la g ah nothing beats this one. Fast pace, the dance, the props, music. I was able to watched this last 2013 in Abellana and everyone there was standing and shouting because amazed kaayu mi, overwhelming ra gyud kaayu ang performance. As in lahi gyud ni sya if naa mo mismo nagtanaw live. Mura makalipay sa mata.

Still the best performance of FI Category for me, next is Tribu Kandaya and Buyogan.

Awesome show :-) . The training and the stamina of all who took part in this amazing work must be respected and admired. But I would like to add that it is not only about a certain area of the Philippines who do this. This is a credit to the entire Philippine nation and her friendly and warm-hearted people. Display maganda all you incredible people yessssssss :-)

wow!!! sa lahat ng festival na napanood ko ... alang alang leyte performance is the very2x best!! una palang pasabog na!!! marami silang originality costume....sa tingin ko gayagaya lang ang iba... i got wonder so much when i know that alang alang leyte is only secod runner up in aliwan fiesta!! cguro nagkamali lang ang judge...... kahit na taga davao ako... i am very2x proud of lingganay!!!! sarap ulitulitin.... 100 times ko na tong ulitulit na pinapanood....

(Alang-Alang Leyte | Lingganay Festival) This is our second time to join Sinulog Festival. That's the reason we really did our best, even chanting, dancing, and polishing the props men. I was one of the dancers and the last part nawala props ko hahaha tumago ako sa likod ❤😂 Missing those days 💗 Ang galing din kasi ng artist namin mag paint sa mga props at choreographer mag formation 😅

the cebuano community extends its most sincere appreciation and gratitude the people of leyte for adding flavor every year to the grandest festival in asia. that title was not solely achieved without the nearby provinces who never ceased to honor our great master SNR STO NINO! btw, the basakanon has never received any financial assistance from the city since the city is the organizer of the event. their support comes from their barangay only thus total perf was not that much. BUT STIL 2 B PROUD!

The execution was effortlessly done... I love their props and concept. I love the energy those kids are giving. PIT SENYOR! Kudos Lingganay Festival of Alang-alang Leyte! This contingent was my bet all the way from the beginning. I think they deserve the Best in Musicality Award. Just Saying

Superb sinulog formation and creativity...the dance was not emphasized more because of amazing props and formation but still still it's classified as excellent sinulog performance because the "total concept" is absolutely bonggah.....sila ang champion kasi po may clarity yung ginagawa nila di sila nagkagulo very clean yung placement ng dancers at yung props may dynamic at pasabog di lang basta props may galaw at difficulty display / movement na kung sumablay kahit isang prop lang dun di makapagpanalo sa kanila peru sabay na sabay lahat ehh plus lively sinulog dance yun sungkit nila ang kampeonato..marami silang formations kasi yun siguro ang forte at expertise nila di more sa sinulog dance steps peru di naman nakaksawa yun mas nakakamangha nga!!!!!CONGRATULATIONS TRIBU LINGGANAY..taga Cepo ako but I appreciated this group over-all performance.

we're trying.. hehehe. but difficult. as a FESTIVAL FANATIC/LOVER, i could say that it is easy for dinagyang contingents to change their yearly presentation (theme/concept), but in leyte NO. Its very difficult to explain unless you really knows the diffirence between sinulog and pintados-kasadayaan in leyte. that is why mahirap makapagpalabas ng big change coming from us unlike from dinagyang. kaya sa props binabawi namin. heheh

PLEASE wag kayo magtalo dito. Don't compare your festival to the other festival because each festival has their own identity and uniqueness. Just be proud and promote what you have. Instead of dragging other festival why not appreciate and support them.

Personally speaking, dili gihapon makatupong ang basakanon sa sinyawan sa mga bata sa Lingganay. Well, I stil appreciate Basakanon.

leyte festivals are known for the use of props (lingganay, buyogan, pasaka, karatong, alikaraw). in leyte we have the pintados-kasadyaan festival. The festivals participating in this competition presents the the history of their own town. That is why we have difficulty of changing our yearly presentation. hehehe. thank you anyway for your appreciation...

thanks for your commending posts. anyway, i do like paghidaet and pan.ay. our presentation in pintados-kasadyaan is different considering that the synopsis(history of our town) you had given is the main basis for scoring. its just like 65/35, 65 for props. In sinulog, it is a very different story. we joined in FREE INTERPRETATION CATEGORY. in 2012 we incorporate people who had suffered to floods and this year 2013 we use darahug(engkanto) for our presentation.

yang Lingganay Festival 2011 -- Grand Champion, is our repeat performance(sa town na namin) during pintados kasadyaan festival in tacloban leyte. pag sa leyte talagang marami ang bells na ginagamit namin. gaya nga ng mga comment ko dito sa youtube, iba ang criteria dun. gaya sa sinulog and aliwan which is iba rin ang criteria.

Para po sa lahat, ang sinulog ay may dalawang category: Sinulog Based or Free Interpretation. Ang sinulog based is more formal. Gowns, dance and story. As well as Free Interpretation but sa props sila nagpapalamang at pabilisan.

got your point. but too difficult. the reason why most people says that our music is very sinulog because when we join sinulog, it is written in their criteria that we should ATLEAST use the sinulog music. if we join in our very own leyte pintados-kasadyaan, we use different music just like in aliwan 2012 wherein we use different music. it is very difficult to incorporate the sounds of bells considering that lingganay practices only for 2 to 4 weeks only. the last remaining week for the music.

undeniably those massive colorful props is a big help for their wonderful performance overall and for their win (which also sticks to the theme of what should a festival should be) on a personal note, a graceful and lively rhythm dance steps to organic upbeat music provides quite impressions for me..still congrats!

sinulog is for señor santo niño.. leyte contingent's joins sinulog for exchanges of culture and history through the dance. we will dance for señor santo niño and winning is a very big bonus. by the way sinulog has so many category. from school to barangay going to city and municuipalities, from those categories only 2 r allowed to be participated by contigents coming from other provinces. kaya di mo pwedeng i.conclude the tinalo ng leyte ang cebu given the fact na maraming category ang sinulog.
