Күн бұрынI had a fantastic time at Sinulog festival 2023! What a privilege it is to be able to attend such an awesome festival filled with great food and happy people. I think everyone was excited to celebrate after a few uncertain years we've shared.
I was lucky to watch some dancers compete before the main finale during the parade. I squeezed my way through the crowds and managed to find some snacks along the way. And a hat! thankfully

I miss the Sinulog Festival in my hometown Cebu City. Its been 16yrs since i moved here in US. I hope you enjoyed your time there. Sinulog is a lot of fun ! 😁

@myrhajereza....Iloilo people always ambush travel vlogs about Cebu. It has been a trend since long time ago. Why is that? Then they began comparing both cities and unabashedly claim their city is better or more beautiful than Cebu City. Is there any more desperate act than that? That's disgusting! If indeed their city is better or more beautiful than Cebu then why do you need to 'gatecrash' into Cebu's party and invite our visitors to go to your city? Why are Ilonggos are so desperate? Is it part of your culture? That's embarrassing! It's very annoying already!

This is soo funny from the hat to the tatoe chips on the skewer. 😆😆.. You sometimes reminds me of Irish peeps. Thank you very entertaining! Think the drink you like is buko or fruit salad juice...Its Fiesta bro it's celebration till it's done 😆😆 yah it is insane but I do miss that. Every part of Ph have different 'fiesta' it's party and eating all day! Have fun be safe and balance your food with healthy bowl of salad and smoothie drinks!

We just walked with my fam from Sm seaside to City di Mare and it was a long walk but seeing the parade and the sinulog contingent dancers especially for my brother who joined the sinulog dance competition its a worthwhile experience, hope you enjoy sinulog festival🙂❤️

Great as always and how funny was the small hat you purchased. It was made for a Filipino. My wife is from Cebu so every-time I pack to travel to The PH, it is a Columbia SPF 50 sun hat, shirts and sunscreen. Also, I try to find whatever shade is available. Enjoy and believe you will find the PH the most friendly SE Asian country.

The best Fiesta in Pinas! Sinulog is held in celebration of one of the country's most famous historic relics: the Santo Niño de Cebú. This was the statue of the baby Jesus that was handed to the Rajah Humabon of Cebu by the Portuguese explorer Ferdinand Magellan in 1521.

Are you an Aklanon? You should know about the history of your Ati-Atihan Festival. Do you know what it means? Yes, precisely! Ati-Atihan means 'act like Ati people'. How is it regarded as a religious act of honoring Sto. Nino? Sinulog is not a religious event contrary to what many ignorant people claim. It is a secular event, organized by the local government and is a cultural event. So if I may ask you, is Ati-Atihan Festival a religious event and organized by your church there?

Isn't Ati, the native inhabitants of Aklan? If it were 'Nino-Ninohan' then that would surely mean 'Act like Sto. Nino'. Then your claim would have been valid that the festival, indeed, honors Sto. Nino.
