I remember stumbling across their WoW videos back in 2010, and then their Minecraft videos in 2011, this is a huge loss:( I didn't watch Turps or Caff, but Sjin was one of the funniest peeps in the Yogscast. I guess it's time for me to move onto other channels, because the Yogscast today isn't the same Yogscast I originally subscribed too.

wow, intense, I wasn't sure what the go was, he wasn't in the project ozone there for a while but was still in TTT games, and was at yogcon, and on moonquest!! while I find his trolling annoying at times it is really gonna feel weird not having him and his builds in series. Idk why this was recomended since I haven’t watched yogscast in 6-7 years when I was playing minecraft, but the yogscast hasn’t increased in subscribers in years. It’s been at 7 million for such a long time and the amount of views they get on each video is as much as a small youtuber. Divide that into the amount of people there are in the group and there’s his paycheck. I feel like him leaving the group and starting his own channel would increase his success or making money on KZfaq. (I have no idea what he did exactly)

As much as it sucks to see sjin leave, at least their position as a company is more settled than The Creatures was so this won't cause as big of a blowback to the structural integrity of yogscast as a whole when The Creatures were just a group of friends starting up a company for the first time

I feel like if the yogscast adapted to its modern day audience and stop playing so much Gmod it would be better. Or at least like better content like to old days for example the good old days of yoglabz. Not gonna lie. I feel like the entire yogscast culture is sick to the core stemming from Louis's bad leadership which led the group to fall apart to the point where they are today. I think there were many issues that were considered normal in their group and then when a few members stepped over the line too far they were cast out as the fall guys. I don't know of specific allegations were leveled and the fact that nothing legal was done leads me to believe that this was less an issue of legality and more of an issue of they needed someone to be the fall guy for their poor management of members. I dunno. Its difficult to speak of someone's actions from their online persona because there can be a completely different person off camera but the facts here just really don't seem to match the consequences.

What made the original Yogscast is all gone now. What is left of the original talent now? Sips, Lewis, Simon etc? Obviously, I love the other people in the Yogscast like Spiffing Brit but they weren't the originals and their isn't the same type of chemistry between the members during the games etc. The worst problem is that most of these members who left the Yogscast left over ALLEGATIONS, not any evidence, and in neither the Turps or Sjin situation was any evidence of them doing anything illegal found. Just saying something doesn't make it true, and in the chat logs we did see for Sjin all of them where over 18, which due to the lack of evidence suggests that the Yogscast itself might have become a toxic workplace for those members as soon as these allegations came about. Its sad to see such a great channel die, people leaving over allegations, not evidence, over lies and not truth.

I wasn't much of a Sjin fan. All the sexual innuendo and double entendre's got old real quick, and it wasn't every once in a while... that would be fine... but it was often one after another. He also went overboard with trolling, and if you notice, he was often there running around in the background really doing nothing. "What are you doing, Sjin?" "Oh, I... um...?" I know he had a lot of fans... I just wasn't one of them.

I just found out about Turps and Sjin leaving because of these shitty investigations caused by shitty allegations. Thinking about how the Yogscast has always made its content mostly uncensored and always joked about those things that have been currently killing smaller channels; This sudden strike of "reality" coming to storm the safe haven that was the Yogscast feels horrible. Now I want Sjin to eff the police, make his own channel and invite Yogscast members to make gameplay videos in the name of fun and friendship.

Yogscast Seagull here! The Yogscast will recover. Newest Yognaughts need to know that they've been through worse and we've witnessed it. When Simon left for nearly 2-3 years, we didn't stop watching. When we donated for Yogventures, not all of us stopped watching. When Hannah and Lewis broke up, it was none of our business but it changed a few things. Turps and Sjin are merely dealing with the consequences of their actions. Who knows? Maybe they'll come back at Jingle Jams to raise cash and put their "differences" aside while doing it. That might be the first step towards something great because if they can get through this, they can get through anything.

While it’s sad that a long-time yogscast member has left, I think people forget it’s still a business. Yes an internet business with more personalities but still a business, in any other situation what Sijin did would warrant removal (if true). The investigation was done and that’s that. Of course people will be upset as he was a fan favourite and I’m sure if none of it is true then he will say so when he’s ready. However, if true, the power dynamic between creator and fan is a slippery slope, hence why it’s been recommended to never get intimate with a fan. They’ll give you whatever they want and unconsciously or consciously that power dynamic will affect the creator. I respect Turps for stepping down, I’m sad Sijin is gone but it’s the business world, that how it works, and Caff, well, I don’t watch much of yogscast anymore so I don’t have much to say other than it was a good choice for for him to be removed. Even so, Sijin was Sips friend, of course he’s going to feel upset about losing a friend/coworker but Sips can choose to have an out of work friendship with him just the same. Only the business part has changed.

I’m seeing a lot of anger floating around and people bringing up what they think is “evidence” as to whether or not Sjin is “guilty”. Is it so hard to accept that this was a more complicated situation than guilty/innocent? That the investigation happened behind closed doors? None of y’all are defense attorneys, and this isn’t even a trial. For that matter, what you read on reddit and tumblr is almost certainly not the full body of evidence. Take a break, do what you need to do, but then move on from this misdirected anger.
