This video shows Siquijor Island in the Central Visayas region of the Philippines.
This is my favorite destination!
Siquijor was nicknamed "Isla del Fuego" the island of fire by the Spaniards when they landed in the 16th century, attracted by the light of fireflies that twinkled on the waves along the shore.
Siquijor is a small island with numerous beaches, waterfalls lost in the jungle, a 360 ° viewpoint at the top of Mount Bandilaan and the coral reefs that surround it have ranked the dive sites among the best in the Philippines.
In addition, the main road that circles the island along the coast for a distance of 75 km is in very good condition with little traffic.
Siquijor is an island with a surface area of 340 km2 with 96,000 inhabitants.
It is a province in the Central Visayas region. It is located 19 km east of Negros Island, 25 km south of Cebu Island and 30 km southwest of Bohol Island.
An island divided into 6 municipalities
