I have to disagree, Bobby Robson was up there with the best and if he was around today managing a top four club in the premier league he would coming close to challenging as he always knew how to get the best out of his team. He was building something at Barcelona and he was shafted and when he knew he wasn’t going to be around the next season and Louis van Gall was going to take over he still gave 100%. Let’s also remember how horribly he was not only treated by Barcelona but also at Newcastle when they sacked him. Newcastle have been in decline ever since. Bobby Robson will always be in my top three favourite managers of all time.

Whilst I appreciate the candour in your reply, we pretty much played more home games than at Euro '96! Germany are a shadow of the team they once were - they got beat at home by North Macedonia in a qualifier not too long ago. Whilst GS tactics had worked until the final lets be honest, the 2nd half tactics amounted to having the team retreat 30 yrds back, don't press the ball, and try and hang on in a tournament final for 45mins against a quality team, it was never going to work.

Who is Jermaine Jeans did he even play football. I’ve been watching for 50 yrs now and can’t ever remember him playing in a game. He was always on the bench. Bobby was an absolute legend.

🙄 its ok not to like the bloke, but trying to change history to suit your narrative isn’t. He played 280 games on the premier league and started 250 of them….. 👌

Any evidence that that type of penalty gets saved me often? If not, he shouldn't be furious.

I don't see why a paneka is a mistake. I've seen Beckham in a world Cup hit the ball down the middle, medium power and along the ground. Called a "clever penalty." Awful to be honest but if they're in the goal it's a good penalty. Sometimes the GK deserve credit, too.
