I am from Uganda and don’t understand the language they are singing in, but I feel the vibes. I can’t stop listening to this Joromi song. It is addictive like falling in love with the most beautiful woman because you can’t just get enough of her. The solo guitar, bass guitar and the konga drum were played with utmost passion, love and professionalism. This is a genius song writing and composition. Victor Uwaifo is trully a Nigerian and African music legend.

It's an Edo language by the Benin people in the southern region of Nigeria, the very ancient kingdom ( The Benin Empire ) that the British invaded in the 1897 before Nigeria was created, you can Google it if you are interested, but it's not the Republic of Benin .No,

Makes remember my childhood. We lived very close to him in Benin, I still remember walking past his house every morning on my way to school. He had different sculptures around his house. This song won the golden disc award, equivalent to the Grammies in the mid sixties. A talented musician way ahead of his time. In my opinion he is best guitarist ever, could do almost anything with the guitar. A legend!

I heard this beautiful song in the late 80s, it made me even prouder of the exceptional talents we had in those days when singing was inspiring..I mean each musician had a message to transmit to future generation.
