Layout Tour: Dave Cole's Erie RR Bradford Branch

Welcome to another Layout Tour video! This tour covers Dave Cole's basement filling layout. Dave is modeling the Erie Railroad's Bradford Branch. This rather massive HO Scale layout models the Erie Railroad from Jamestown, NY to Dubois, PA. The layout is "practically" complete and Dave does host operating sessions. Join us for a tour of the entire layout including a train running the length of the main line.
You may notice some "heavy breathing" by me, due to my Sarcoidosis acting up a bit. Also, you will hear the camera's lens cap flopping around. (I need to remove it, but I know I would then loose it!)
Many thanks to Dave for his generous hospitality. He was a gracious host and does an outstanding job explaining the many different locations and scenes on the layout.
Also a big thank you to Bob Yerkey for being our chauffeur for the day!

I truly enjoy Rob explaining the layout, he has knowledge but keeps it fun. Will love see a cab view of his own layout!!!

Reminds me of a kid growing up in the late 80s and early 90s when models were glued together and just stuck on layouts…the level of detailing was lacking to say the least.

Dave’s daughter. “Dad can l come home to my old room”? Dave. “Errrrrrrrr no honey because another child’s moved in and taken over the place”! 😆 Brilliant amazing layout Dave and as others have said we need a cab ride camera around the place please to really appreciate the 1000’s of hours spent in creating this monster 👍

I dont think she would want to come back because she has to take care of three children LOL and she doesn't like her mom btw I am 1 out of her 3 children. Yes she doesnt want to be a part of anything involving her moms life.

Awesome videos ! Started binge watching all of them. You have tons on knowledge and have been keeping notes. I have been at it for 35 years and and doing a complete tear and rebuild. I am studying DCC but the switches have me concerned. If possible could you do a video showing different methods for a dcc switch. Thanks and Keep the videos going!

I think it was 2007 not 2013 when the tornado hit Kinzua. Sadly all the big Erie bridges are destroyed, the Belfast one was torn down, Portage was replaced in 2016.

GREAT layout tour!, and thanks for reminding me to get a cup of coffee! I do wish you had frozen the video feed when you first superimposed the layout diagram as there is SO MUCH to see in the panning video - I really like to see all the neat stuff he has in each town. Also, what command system is he using? (I'm assuming it's DCC, but it's always of interest to me to see what others use.) Keep those videos coming! I always look forward to them - THANKS!!i

Beautiful layout.. I have a question ❓ I seen a loading tractor trailer loaded with crushed cars at 18:44 in mt. Jewiet ,.Were they bought like that or did dick do it himself? Thanks, joe
