Dance India Dance is an Indian Hindi-language dance competition reality television series that airs on Zee TV, created and produced by Essel Vision Productions. It premiered on 30 January 2009. Here the judges are called Masters and Mithun Chakraborty was called Grand Master (until season 6). Season 7 premiered with a different concept. This show is a remake of Bengali show Dance Bangla Dance which premiered on 2007. After 3 successful season of Dance Bangla Dance, Zee TV remade this show for all-over Indian participants.

the soul of the show was the legendary superstar mithun chakraborty.. without him dance india dance is nothing.. another fun fact, dance bangla dance was aired in zee bangla in 2007 much before dance india dance and that was the first show judged by mithun chakraborty.. later zee was inspired by dance bangla dance's popularity and launched dance india dance for national audience with again mithunda..

Wrong, Dance Bangla Dance did not come from Dance India Dance, DID came from DBD. In 2007 in West Bengal Dance Bangla Dance started on Zee Bangla, later in 2009 this show started on national level as Dance India Dance on Zee TV. Mithun Chakraborty was the grand master in DBD since 2007, later he was made grand master in DID in 2009.

Though many make Mithun into a joke material but he is the only one who is a fully fledge entertainer. He in fact was a trend setter in 80s and 90s. I love his movies even today and my nephew of 6 years of age accepted Mithun as his favorite actor by just watching his one movie. Mithun's craze is ageless.

I completely disagree. Boggie Woggie was the show which bought Dance Culture on TV. We 90s kids grew watching Boggie Woggie, more precisely we watched DID when we were a Teenager.

Use to be the favorite Reality Show, literally watched all the episodes of first few seasons. But after TMKOC aired in 2013 for the first time, literally had to stop watching DID. Now have left watching any show on television.

Dance India dance didn’t produce Dance Bangla Dance, rather it was reverse.. Mithun Da produced it way before in 2007 in Zee Bangla... From there Zee TV took the concept to make DID... Dance Bangla Dance was a emotion for people like us who started loving n learning dance after watching the show.. Plz make ur facts correct...
