2 years ago I said my final goodbye to my dad. We are both huge fans of Alter Bridge, this was his final song before he was cremated. Later that year I got to see these live and perform this song. I was a crying mess in the crowd but it was so beautiful, you could feel the compassion and love as it was played

I had to say my final goodbye to my dad too in july of this year. He was wheelchair bound with bone cancer and leukemia and a tumor on his back that spread everywhere from September of last year to mid April before he became bedbound. On July 1st he came home from the hospital and died in his bed on July 2nd. God I miss him every day. I've sure joined the fatherless club and realized quickly that it's totally not easy. Hope you're still hanging in there too @Shagrath mostis cause it's not easy.

My dad has a cancer of unknown primary that is metastatic and pretty advanced. I’m hoping he recovers but I’m preparing for the worst. This song comforts me.

I had to say my final goodbye to my momma, in 2019, and I played this song because it reminds me of her, when I take my 3 hours jogs I listen to this song on my ear phones well I walk and jog, it was a grieving process for me and I felt her well i walked like she gave me a sign through this beautiful song.

I love this two! This song I played alot after my husbands sudden passing..it did something deep for me and still does. Him and Mark are great together id love to him both sing together even with those pipes of Myles that gets to me. The song blackbird I played at my husbands and both parents services. My dad passed away five years ago back in April. I don't think that Myles and Mark understand the impact that this song has on someone who's lost their loved one. I miss my Dad something fierce. This song helps let out the emotions that I keep bottled up on a daily basis.
