I've read that Sheena was an "inspiration" for many young girls in the 1980s who didn't have many female screen idols.

Siskel & Ebert had at least one episode devoted to guilty pleasures, but some of these they would still take a pass on even if they enjoyed a certain aspect of them. I remember Ebert considered “Basic Instinct 2” to be a so-bad-it’s-good film, but I don’t think they used that phrase often.

Funny that today most Western audiences would probably immediately clock Infra-Man as a tokusatsu thanks to Power Rangers (even if they wouldn't know to describe it in those terms)

One that comes to mind for me is Giant Gila Monster, terrible but I love it. Same with The Thing With Two Heads.

Never really bought into the "so bad they're good" idea. I'd rather look for hidden lesser known good film than get ironic enjoyment from bad ones. But even S&E, I think, recognize *that* is not exactly the reason to watch Sheena.
