Der Film ist einfach fantastisch. Ich habe die Gelegenheit, ihn in Wien zu sehen. Und seitdem kann ich mich nicht davon befreien, ihn wieder und wieder zu sehen. Das ist mein Lieblingsfilm.

ah, i love this movie! when i was growing up in germany i had to watch it every year at christmas. romy schneider is beautiful and she plays the role of sissi exceptionally well. ich liebe diesen film!

She is the queen and star for all guys when she wears the wedding gown, nobody could take their eyes from her; I remembered this movie when I was in teenager and was touched by her eyes..Rome forever.

I first read the Sissi books, they were my mom´s first, then here in Mexico, the movies were proyected at the cinema, so we could enjoy those sweet stories...poor Sissi, I would wish her life was as tender, loving and positive as it is shown in the movies! I reccomend the book "BLACK WALTZ"-VALS NEGRO...SO REVEALING!

I always think of my grandma while watching this film. I love this and can't even remember how many times i've seen this films with her..

I want it in English too. My German just can't cut it. Apparently it aired with English subtitles on SBS Australia in January but, ironically, I was on holidays in Austria and missed it. Maybe next year.

Ja, die Filme sind toll, aber wer sich mal schlaugemacht hat, der weiss, dass der Kaiser sie oft betrogen hat. Sie liebten einander nicht so sehr wie es in den Filmen gern dargestellt wird. Am Ende konnten sie sich nicht mehr ausstehen und Sissi ist viel auf Reisen gewesen. Fast alle ihre Kinder sind noch vor ihr gestorben (zum Teil haben sie sich umgebracht). Man sollte dem Film also nicht zu viel Glauben schenken, aber süß ist er trotzdem. Ich sehe sie mir sehr gern an.

È ovvio che nei film viene tutto romanzato, ti fanno vedere una bella favola. La vita reale è un 'altra cosa. Non possiamo mica vedere due imperatori che stanno litigando, avranno avuto anche loro le loro discussioni no? Ci resta un sogno, ls realtà è diversa per tutti Almeno possiamo sognare...

When climbing, he slipped and fell on the points of a fence, very horrible and tragic! How could she have prevented that? It devestated her! She devorced her second husband also for several reasons. And with that, she is often used by people, for several awfull reasons. I really don't think anybody deserves such tragedies!

I have never understanded, when I read that Sissi was unhappy. After that I saw the film, and I understanded it: Sissi was unhappy, because she spent a little time with Ferenc and her mother-in-law, Zsófia was evil.

I love these movies, but I wonder what the producers were thinking. Elisabeth and Franz didn't get married in the church shown here. This is St. Michaels church. They got married in the Augustinian Church. Further, same mistake with their coronation in Hungary. The scene was again taken in St. Michaels church in Vienna. In my opinion, very very bad mistakes!
