Because a quince is a ceremony meant as a presentation cuando una niña ya es "mujer". It's just a representation of that, but some of these parties have thousands of dollars put in. It's entertainment, it's dinner, it's supposed to be a classy party. It's not just supposed to be fun. You can go to chucky cheese for fun. This is more than that.

@lazer2521 I understand perfectly what you are saying, I had my quince too and my banquet hall lights went off two times . My chambelanes and I started laughing and dancing in the dark while everyone else clapped for us. Is a once in a lifetime event, enjoy and have fun , don't stress out about stuff you will only do once !

Because obviously no one wants anything to go wrong. And plus I’ve seen some quince girls dancing with their chambelanes and the chambelanes were so bad- like they were rude to the quince, they DID NOT commit to the dance at all or practiced and the quinceañera was so stressed and disappointed in her friends. I’m scared for that to happen to me-

That’s a fair question. Quinces are a coming of age party and you can choose to have friends or family as part of your court. Some girls don’t have family or friends they can depend on so they rent these professional dancers to make them look good and make their day extra special 🤭
