I am always blown away by the level of creativity, commitment and skill of drag queens. But I especially admire the Sisters for mobilizing their members and using their platform for good.

The things sister Roma says are amazing. "Get over yourselves and just welcome everyone" absolutely, "People's reactions to me says more about them than it says about me" that is the best thing I've ever heard. You have said things today that make me happy to hear. Mad respect for you.

I had always found drag really cool but you don't hear much about drag kings (I think that is the turn) do you think you would do an episode on that if you found someone that was in the community as well?

I'm a trans boy and I REALLY want to do drag, but idk if being called she/her would be okay ??? I'd probably be alright with it if I went by a crazy name tho.
@WattsTheSafeword7 жыл бұрын
Personally, I call drag queens "she" sometimes, "he" others. I think it would mostly depend on what you prefer, regardless, gays call each other she as a joke sometimes too. just be clear about your pronouns and you should be fine.

1. drag is not synonymous with drag queens. drag kings exist! 2. marsha p. johnson and sylvia rivera arguably were the ones who started stonewall, and they were trans women not drag queens. ffs
@twzoomies7 жыл бұрын
Raz Z Marsha P Johnson was a trans women but she also performed drag. a lot of trans women during that time were drag queens because that was an easier way for them to express themselves. pretty sure the same goes for Sylvia Rivera. But I do wish they had specifically named these women and stated that they were not only drag queens but also trans.

anyone help me out? what are proper pronouns for drag queens?
@SisterRoma7 жыл бұрын
Saint Vay I would suggest that you refer to drag queens or anyone how they represent. I prefer "shel" or "bitch"
@saintvay60557 жыл бұрын
thanks. my issues more stems from not personally knowing a queen but wanting to tell people about them
