@lasheemaford83185 жыл бұрын
I'm sure that all glorious, but when it comes down to black suffering does he have your back against his own ppl is the question. You're typical black person in the sense that you look up to the white knight. White men are the "successful, the upgrade, the omg, how did u get him" to black ppl. Its that deep seeded slave mentality. We never think as highly of our own as we do them. To each is own but I couldn't wake up to a white man everyday in this racial climate.

I grew up in "a fight the power house, too" and no matter what Black women say about Black men, I don't want anything else. A man of another race cannot do it for me. I am very much into blackness and I want a brother who is the same way. After 74 yrs, I finally have that. I married twice but the men were not good for me - the first one was physically abusive and the second one was mentally overpowering and controlling, both Black men. At this late stage I have the perfect man FOR ME. We're together for 8 yrs and we're very happy with each other, maintaining separate residences.

I think what a lot of people are not saying is that when people are younger, they experiment more or less with relationships... and then when TIME starts hitting you and you become more self aware, you either get MORE experimental or LESS experimental depending on your experience in your younger days. Personally I just like and prefer black men because I've never really had a CRAZY/ bad experience with one. Are fights and fusses are just that, fights and fusses. There are no preconceived notions about me. I'm just me and he is just he, no matter what KIND (culture, country of origin, religion, etc) of black man he was. On the other hand, I have also dated men of color outside of my race-Indian (from India), Hispanic, Middle Eastern. I just feel more comfortable and at home with black men- no matter where they come from on the globe or what language they speak. Tried the previous listed different colors of men and just prefer the black ones because with a black man I just feel the most loved and respected for the REALEST TRUEST version of me as a black woman. I never felt fetishized just treasured.

I agree. If it's based on love, respect, loyalty, and care- I'm here for it. I am open to all races, even though I personally am so glad I found a black man to be my future. I'm first gen Jamaican American and my man is first gen Haitian American. There are certain culture and race related things that I don't have to explain to him, he just gets them because he goes through them as well. There is so much less I have to worry about when it comes to important things like child rearing, basic etiquette, and identity. There is just a certain different connection I have with other black people, especially Jamaican people due to cultural and ancestral similarities. I don't have a problem with happy and healthy relationships. The relationships I don't support are ones that are based on any type of fetish, hatred, or sick mindset- and that goes for any race but I'm especially sensitive when my people are involved because I know where that self-hate comes from. Interracial dating is absolutely fine for the right reasons.

I am here for the point about the height. I find every race attractive, but I just cannot date a man shorter than me. There is zero issue with a man being short, but I am almost 6ft and pretty thick so I dont feel as feminine at the side of a man who is 5'9. I dont feel bad for thinking this way because there are plenty of short sisters out there with their pick of any guy/height, so why should I feel bad for wanting a guy I dont have to look down to see

Tinder can definitely be discriminatory based on where you are in the country. I’ve used it in certain places and no one white or “other” liked me back. So afraid of the internet dating.
@austinhoward2995 жыл бұрын
Justly Rose Uhm, alternative facts. Having a preference is cool but when you willfully discriminate against a race or even your own because you ASSume that all of them have STD’s and other diseases, no longer becomes just a preference; it becomes discrimination and ignorance at best! And yes there are brothas who live their lives on the DL - but why is that? Some are in fear of living their authentic lives because of being outcasted by their families and friends. Have some common decency before you step to me with this foolishness. And let’s not divert the responsibility from the sista’s, protection and precaution is EVERYBODY’s responsibility. Not just the one who’s doing the poking. Furthermore, do me a huge favor since you think you know it all; and find the video of them interviewing David Johns of the NBJC & educate yourself- he debunks the very myths that you’re spewing...

It’s easy to say be open but are other races open to us? Statistically black women are lease likely to marry outside of their race and I don’t think it’s because we’re not open. I know a lot of black women who would be ok with the swirl but that’s not who’s approaching them. I will date/ marry whoever loves me, my child and my family. Whoever God brings for me is for me buuuuuut something about a black man just does it for me lol we understand each other, simple things don’t need to be explained, I don’t have to get weird questions or worry about his family accepting me because of color issues. I dunno, dating for a black woman is more complicated in my opinion but I’m willing and open for anyone 🤷🏽♀️

@sierrastewart57255 жыл бұрын
I’m not brainwashed. I never said we were not desired. I just think it’s an unfair assumption to say it’s us. Some of my family is biracial so it’s clear we’re wanted however I also know I rarely see black women being approached by other races, particularly white men. As I stated it’s a complex situation and it’s not just one parties burden. We have to be open and they have to be open as well

Black women are bold in everything else other than their relationships. The opt to mother their men who rarely stay around exclusive when they opt for their own. That's because there's nothing for them to loose. Black men know that black women are on some level desperate for a relationship and with settle for simply a d**k who doesn't support her on any level. Beside, black women doesn't really know how to take a man who treats them well and demonstrate that on regular basis.
