I saved enough for gas money to OR a few years ago, but had to sleep in my truck bed. Just to OR, I found what I thought was a camp ground and asked one of the campers where I should pay. Turns out it was a homeless camp (so free), and what a great afternoon I had with all the folks there. Played in the creek with the kids, and shared stories over a camp fire. Next morning I was in Sisters (and took advantage of the public showers), and the quilt show WOW-ed me. The Chamber of Commerce directed me to a wonderful piece of forest where I could disperse camp that night. I LOVE OREGON!!! Very hiker/primitive camper friendly.

Sisters has been a dream destination of mine for years. My daughter & son-in-law moved to Temecula, CA, a year ago January and I flew out in Oct. 2018 for a visit and to attend the Valley of the Mist outdoor quilt show. Old Town Temecula was a stagecoach stop years ago and all the buildings look like an era gone by, so it gave the quilts hanging outside an excellent backdrop. Beautiful show, really enjoyed it. Thank you for all the tips and info on the Sisters Quilt Show. Enjoy your channel.

Sister's Quilt show is on my bucket list, and I hope I can come before I get to old to walk 3 plus blocks. I really enjoyed this video as you know "laughter is the best medicine" and I did laugh during this video. Happy 4th of July and have a great week at the Quilt show.

It is 02:11 on Wednesday morning on the East Coast. I am laughing so hard at your comments, confessions, and facial expressions! My confession is that ever since I saw your first prep video for wool, I have done the same. I just love being able to pick up a project block and go. I did my Vintage Truck of the month by Buttermilk Basin the same way and I'm proud to say I only have three left to finish. Hope to make Sister's next year. Thanks for the good night laughter.

I am loving all of your videos! When I was recovering from a surgery, I watched all of your videos from the beginning because I am a recent subscriber. From your prepping, I am now using SF101 and have really liked the stitching I am doing with it - no more hoops or tear-a-ways. You have a wonderful way of showing and talking about quilting - a natural teacher. Looking forward to someday visiting the Sisters quilt show - maybe next year.

Have a wonderful time at the quilt show. It’s on my bucket list along with some other “sister”quilters from the most eastern part of Massachusetts. Such a long way from Sisters Oregon, but we are all together in our hearts!

Just found your videos and I love them. You have answered so many questions for me even though I don’t do wool---but I may now, lol. I took my first quilting lesson on appliqué when I retired 20 years ago and of course the patterns started out simple and progressed to MUCH harder. The thing went into the UFO pile until now. Short story long, I have redrawn some of the patterns in a more advanced way to suit my abilities now. I was thinking I should not post pics so as to not offend the patter author. Also, we are FB friends so she will see it. I will of course give her credit for the original pattern but now I feel I can post pics ‘cause you gave me permission-which I had already decided was ok to do, thanks again. By the way, I’m beginning to feel like a voyeur watching all your videos. Keep them coming please. Happy stitching and thanks.

OMG you were in rare form in this one! You made me LOL! Thanks for all you do! I still drool over all the talk of the outdoor quilt show. It is on the bucket list, but just not in the cards right now. I'm hoping to make it there before I retire because that's still 10 years away (God willing). I'm selling some of my art quilts starting next year on the arts & craft circuit. All of the profit is going into my Sister's Savings Account, as I need to plan this trip!!! I have a sneaking feeling I will not want to leave.

So relieved I am doing my sbow exactly the same except I won’t be stitching on a camping trip with G but a boating trip with Kevin....🤣 ! I got the primitive grey background with multicolored wool. Volunteers help make the world go around. Fire fighters do so many things no one ever knows they have done. They are always first in line in Memphis to volunteer.

Hi Anna, I am putting your quilt show on my bucket list for sure, for a future visit. I have been meaning to ask you something, what is your thought on machine washing your fabric when you bring it home from the quilt shops? When I first learned to quilt ( many moons ago), that was drummed into my head to wash them first. Except the wool of course. What is your advice please? As usual I'm laughing at all your comments. My husband and I are talking about going to Alaska. But I'm going to have to make it a must to stop at Sisters. Hopefully I can work it around the quilt show.

I have lots of questions on the sister quilt show. I have always wanted to come.....but the walking is very difficult. I have had nineteen surgeries from my military days. They think they may be able to do another series to help me....but let’s be serious...I am also mid sixties and I don’t want to lose even more internal feelings. So if I brought a scooter....where would I be able to secure it while visiting shops. I normally try to see the quilts on your KZfaq which saves me a lot of pain...sobthank you. Also, what are the dates.

Hi Anna, love your videos! Do you think you could discuss SF101 further on one of your videos. I have never heard about doing that to stabilize the wool. I am just curious how you stitch with that on the back. Do you go thru that layer as well? Or do you kind of skim along that as you go thru the wool layers with your stitching. Thanks!

I’d love to get to the show but maybe next year. Is these motel in town that is dog friendly? Is there doggie day care or overnight kennel? Or in Bend? Are there picnic tables to sit at for lunch? I fractured 2 my vertebrae last year and can’t sit on ground or curbs. What about shade? I love my ice collars but still overheat quickly.
