Please consider doing a monthly Sit and Knit. Perhaps at the end of the month as a catch up of what you all have been up to that month. I listen while I knit and have coffee with you! I will always be so grateful for the commitment you made during the pandemic to keep me (us) company. You helped normalize a very scary time and you will be forever part of my knitting family for that reason. Thank you both, so much.

I know that life will start to change but Sit and Knit for a Bit is my favorite! I love it more than anything else you’ve done except maybe your longer cooking segments. Your tutorials are helpful and patterns are wonderful but I think you really shine and connect with people during Sit and Knit. I think it’s what makes your channel special and unique. A taped tutorial isn’t comparable in any way. I hope you can continue it as much as possible as the more Arne and Carlos, the better. And I’d pay to watch you two! ;)

Please don’t stop doing “something and/or nothing “ type videos - in my opinion they are the most creative. Anything similar you can do would be greatly appreciated. Style and lifestyle tutorials would be fabulous!!! Showing your UFOs, for example, is so interesting. Showing rooms and talking about your house and garden is so interesting. If I could, I would love to move to Norway - I am in NY and have grown to love so many things, traditions, etc about your country. You both are the most entertaining and have the best show that I watch on television every week!!

Sit. And knit is a completely different way of learning about Norway. Don’t get rid of it completely just as you are both getting so comfortable doing it. I’m a beginner knitter and I kinda glaze over when you start talking about really complicated patterns etc. but I love the stories “knit” into the patterns. And oh yeah we have to keep learning how your dogs are doing, how the garden is blooming, craft projects, hunters, genealogy, whether the fireplace was worth it, etc.

I love watching you both talking about your lives and what you are doing. I picked up knitting whilst ill and gave me a lot of comfort because it was something that I could do. I started to learnt how to fair isle knit because I love colour and I realised the same principles apply to it as does art (my other hobby), so I felt I was painting with wool. That is how I discovered your you tube channel and listening to your experiences of your day was very interesting partly because I live in Australia and partly because my health means I do not get many opportunities to do things. I know I am one of many and I think if you were interested to continue you would always have an audience! Many thanks for what you do and give of yourselves, Jane.

Still loving S&KFAB. The saying goes, "all good things must come to an end", but I'm so happy to hear that your podcasts will continue. Understandably, you are anxious to return to your pre-Covid activities but it will be a loss for those of us who look forward to each and every one of your podcasts, tutorials, and all the other special things you do to make our world a happier place. Over the past many months Covid has cast a terrible dark shadow over the world but you made it easier when you began your daily podcasts and your fans are incredibly grateful to you for that. So, whatever you decide to do as you move on with your lives and careers, I wish you health, happiness, and success. Nevertheless, the more the better is my opinion when it comes to Arne and Carlos podcasts. Love the new stocking and super excited to watch the Christmas countdown!

I am going to add my voice to the chorus of voices saying please don’t eliminate Sit and Knit. I enjoy seeing your works in progress, the dogs, your garden and so many good stories and things to learn about life in Norway. I found your channel a few months ago and have become a regular viewer based on the Sit and Knits which engage me more than a tutorial. So I understand that you cannot keep it up when you travel but please do them whenever you can. I live in the US and cannot imagine being back to normal next year. Sadly we have not been as good as Norway has regarding getting vaccinated and it is slowing down our recovery. But you guys are helping so much and are giving us so much so thank you for all you do!

I love those mini-sweaters! My husband and I do something similar for advent….but we actually write a clever clue on a piece of paper and the paper goes into the small drawer (in your case the sweater). The clue is for where the gift is hidden somewhere in our house! - I know this might sound silly….but it has become the part of Christmas that we look forward to the most! Lots of laughter….because the clues are so much fun! The actual advent gifts are always small, inexpensive things. Every morning begins with a silly clue, and it is a great way to start the day! ~

What a wonderful visit with you this week. I actually knitted. Often, I just watch. I have started a scrap project that doesn't require me to pay attention much, just to have my hands knitting something. You may need a break from one more thing in your busy schedule but we will never be sick of you. I think that if it's not too much for you, what if you just did Sit and Knit whenever you're home(or drop us a quick 2 minute update to tell us about the amazing place you are at the time). When you have taken breaks this past year and a half, we all totally understood that you were needed to be away and we simply looked forward to when you would be back, hoping that you were well in between visits. Carlos, I think your idea is great too. Do what's best for you. We will still be here. Oh, and I live in Canada, I totally understand what you were saying about the beauty of winter. I love to walk on a day when the sun is shining and it's about -20C. The cold and sunshine on your face at the same time, there's something special about it. I wish others could experience it just once at least... Arne, those projects are coming along great! I love hearing you two explain where your inspiration comes from, and your design process. And Arne, I totally understand the genealogy addiction! Have fun. Best wishes for a great week!!

A few years ago here in Northern California, it snowed about 6 or 8 inches in an evening. When I was taking the dog out at bedtime that night, the sky had cleared and there was a full moon. I called my boyfriend out and said, "You have to come out with me for a walk. You'll never see this again in this part of California". It was like daylight out with the full moon on the fresh snow. So beautiful. It reminded me of my childhood in Michigan.

when my three children were small I made a felt Santa Advent calendar. Each of the 24 pockets on Santa had 3 chocolates, 1 for each kid, and we counted down to Christmas with the chocolates. Except someone kept cheating and taking chocolate out of turn! I was getting pretty mad until I caught our dog (Rhodesian Ridgeback) pulling the chocolate out of the pockets, unwrapping the foil and leaving it on the floor, and then eating the candy. If I hadn't seen it with my own eyes I would still be blaming the poor children! Advent calendars are so much fun.

We had the first frost this week in Kamloops, BC, Canada this week too, so I have been putting away the deck furniture and putting the planters to bed too. It must be lots of work keeping all those fireplaces stoked all winter. Our houses are mainly wood here too, although many homes back east in Canada are made of bricks. I think available resources dictate housing materials sometimes. I had never thought about stone houses being colder, bit it makes sense. I love the cat needle point creation, Arne- very creative changes. The new Christmas stocking is lovely. I have downloaded the advent sweater patterns, but not sure they will get done this year- the queue is so long for things I am knitting. I think you could play it by ear with Knit For A Bit- take breaks as needed or post from different places you happen to be when you can-that could be fun. I think you did one from a hotel in Oslo once.

Looking forward to tutorials about steeking! I’m knitting my very first cardigan. The pattern is knit flat. I would like to know how to adjust the pattern so that it can be knit in the round and then steeked. I hope Sit & Knit stays as a podcast. I would really enjoy hearing the travel stories, or an interview with the people you are meeting, or hear about Arne’s shopping adventures. I also enjoy hearing about the lifestyle stuff and non-knitting related stories (and updates from the “dead/blind lady” projects) You’re great storytellers! Yes, I mostly listen as I take my “15 minutes” to work on a project 😀

I love all you do and all you design and all you chat about. I’m on your mailing list and have bought patterns - I don’t miss an episode! But the catalyst for all of it (for me) was the quarantine we were all forced to endure. Then I saw a miraculous thing: all around the world artists and musicians reached out a hand to show that no one was alone. A tuba in Germany joined a violin in England to brass in America and so forth - so that we had an orchestra! Isolated but together and more than the sum of its parts. A triumph of the human spirit. That is what your blanket squares meant to me - put together it becomes an orchestra, offered in isolation to bring us together. So I’d love, if you’re inclined, to come back to that every now and again. The gift you gave us was not a knitting pattern. It was more, much more.

i would LOVE for you both to do some podcasts from museum collections- perhaps scandanavian arts and crafts or painters, furniture etc. a few specific places in NYC but also in Minneapolis and other cities. i know you love antiques and art- so do i-- so visiting collections might be something you will be able to organize in 2022.

I would be very sad to see the end of Sit and Knit for a Bit but understand you'll not be as available. I'd love to see commentary on your travels and visits to knitting groups around the world. As for electricity, I think prices are going up everywhere. Here in Oz, my electricity bill for the just finished winter was 35% more than last year. I'm very much looking forward to your Advent podcasts - they're always fun.

Yet another fab episode! 👍 Arne, you have the most colourful family history - sweet! 😋 What ever format you guys come up with, will be fine with me! I don't really differ between it being a tutorial session or not - to me being in 'your company' is a QUALITY TIME, filled with INNOVATION (new type of projects to try my patience on 😉etc), EDUCATION (new skills/rediscovering ways to do certain things, e.g. the series from Setesdal was a fountain of info!!) and INSPIRATION! Not only being inspired to cast on different type of project but also look up more info on a lot of the topics and places you share on your podcast. Pssst - come December I'm revisiting some of the Christmas baking shows and will do some bake-alongs 'with you guys'🙌 Keep up the good work - it makes me happy and relaxed! Greetings from a rainy Denmark, Dille😋

I definitely understand the time it takes to do the weekly Sit and Knit. Doing a monthly one would be a great option. I sit and knit for a bit while watching. It provides great entertainment and I really enjoy you both.

First of all, I absolutely LOVE Sit and Knit and look forward to the episode each week. That said, I also appreciate that a weekly commitment in a post-Covid work schedule is not practical. I’m trying to be unbiased when I say … I would suggest that you look inwardly to see where you feel excited and not to us. Does the idea of creating a monthly Sit and Knit still give you energy or would it become just one more thing in a hectic schedule? I’ve often thought that I love the connection, but in reality it is very one sided, so it isn’t connection. So I guess what I have enjoyed is the company and the glimpse into your lives. I find myself giggling with Arne’s sense of humour, Carlos’ dry one liners and enjoy seeing all of your side projects. I have visited your website shop for patterns and yarn after watching a Sit and Knit episode, but I would probably still do all those things if you adopted a different format. All this to say, follow your hearts because that is where you shine. Thank you so much for providing us with something so enjoyable and dependable to look forward to during a very uncertain time. Now, I wonder what Arne will find for Carlos in his stash of thrift shop UFOs? Even though I’ve said what I’ve said, I’m still going to love Sit and Knit until the bitter end!! 😊

Sit and Knit For a Bit my favorite series on your channel, and the only one I watch consistently. I don't actually knit, so I don't always watch the Sunday tutorials. I do crochet, embroidery, etc. so I do like to hear you guys talk about your other projects and works-in-progress. It's also just lovely to hear about your lives; it really does feel like having a chat with friends and catching up. I hope that you can keep Sit and Knit For a Bit as at least a monthly podcast when you start travelling again. It is the reason I started watching the channel, and the reason I've stayed. It feels like we are really getting to know you as people. I also love the cooking and lifestyle videos. They are more fun for me!

No, no ,no please don’t stop sit and knit and don’t change it to once a month. It is wonderful hearing and seeing what you have been up to. A joy when Wednesday comes around. Love the Sunday tutorials but also love the Wednesdays. Perhaps when you are away a little live vlog now and again would be brilliant. I sit and watch and sometimes do my knitting but only if I don’t have to think about the knitting as I don’t want to miss what you or the dogs are up to. If you stopped Wednesdays how would we know what else Arne is finishing which belongs to the old, blind, or dead lady. Love the cat cushion. So clever. Love the Wednesdays. 🧶🧶

Please keep Sit and Knit just whenever it is possible. I look forward to it so much. I think ‘Oh good it’s Wednesday, Sit and Knit’ Maybe you could do them when you are at home and the odd one when possible on your travels, like the one you did in the Hotel dining room! We feel we are travelling too then. I love the way Arne is finishing the old ladies projects. Thank you so much for making all these videos 😊

I hope sit and knit for a bit stays around! It’s the best 15 minutes on KZfaq! I love the casual “conversation” and how relaxed you both are. I know whatever you decide will be best for you both, as long as don’t stop making videos! You have inspired me to love knitting again, since I started watching last year, and I will be forever grateful. ❤️🤗 Carlos, you are so good about not spoiling the surprise. I don’t know if I could resist looking into the jumper. 😂 I love seeing the progress on Arne’s cat project and the garter scarf made another appearance! I look forward to seeing that one finished. Your Christmas designs are always so beautiful, it’s a lovely stocking design. I had to put air in my tires this week, too. 😂 hope you have a great rest of your week!
