My favorite scene is the end scene where he is saying his goodbyes to Sonny, looks down on him, touches his forehead, and says, “Wasted talent.” That’s such a powerful scene. Great movie. Saw it yesterday for the first time.

Chazz Palmintieri is, in my humble opinion, the heart and soul of "A Bronx Tale". The whole movie revolves around him and his personality is beyond dynamic. He plays his role, the good and bad of it, so convincingly that it draws you into it. He's such a cool guy.

MIXTA-B MARVELOUS MIC, I actually had that happen to me in real life. I was giving a platonic female friend a ride. Went to the passenger side of the car and unlocked and opened the door for her. Went around the back and saw her unlock my door, because of the movie. When I got in, we talked about it. I told her she should share that with her buddy, my wife at the time. Common courtesy is lacking in this society and this country. Another female I was randomly talking to said, " My grandfather told me it doesn't cost anything to be kind." What a STATEMENT!! I said to her that her grandfather is a wise man. God bless all.

Me and my friends did as well... jokingly of course. We had watched the movie on DVD at my house on my 46" projection TV when we were probably about 18 years old. We'd use "the move" to test chicks... I wanna say at least 1 of them passed if I remember correctly. I went on a date and she opened my door. Didn't marry her, still single at 41 by choice, but it's a fun memory.

Crazy how you and the fellow comments here allow someone’s political opinions affect movies you like haha. Thats kind of sad. You like a movie but don’t agree with someone’s opinions on anything (politics aside) and now that movie isn’t good to you. You can’t enjoy it?? Hahaha that’s pathetic. I’m a Yankees fan and love Paul O’Neil and he’s a Trump supporter. And I don’t like Trump and still like O’Neil and it doesn’t affect my feelings on the Yankees teams and championships he was a part of. Those who let politics affect their opinion on anything outside of that is just weak , sad, pathetic, and doesn’t make sense. And honestly, those who let it, usually fall into a specific mindset and follow a specific party. The one that claims everyone else is triggered easily not offended easily and then get all up in their feelings over an entertainers view points and how that ruins movies they’ve liked. That seems triggered. That seems to offensive. And again it’s sad. It also doesn’t make a difference. Th e movies are still good.

Pretty typical. You advocate tolerance and acceptance for everyone but what you mean is only for those that push your radical crazy agenda. I chose to not entertain or watch or even listen to someone because I dislike or disagree with their political beliefs-you bet. Thats my right, whether you agree or not and I will continue to support what I believe in. If you don’t like it I really don’t care.

What's funny is that his character could have easily avoided death by simply blaming his friend who shot at Christopher (who Christopher killed). His was the one who started shooting, he could have just said that he started shooting back too when Christopher kept shooting simply out of fear and that he did not know that his friend was planing to shoot Christopher. And just reacted out of fear of Christopher when he kept running. Christopher might have coroborated his story afterwards, since he also saw that it was the other guy who started shooting, and Christopher could have said that he might have been right, since he kept shooting at both of them once the bullets started flying :P

I am not going to compare my situation. However watching this makes me love my stepdad even more. I grew up in Brooklyn. I passed bars like Talis on 18th ave. on a daily basis. The time period was early to mid 80’s. Seeing the cars, the clothes and especially the women drew my attention. One night I told my dad that the women coming out the cars and going in were so beautiful. I then told him I want to go in and hang out to see what goes on. He then smacked me and said if I catch you there they won’t ever have to break your legs because I will! I then said dad what the hell? He realized I was so naive that I really didn’t have a clue. After calmer heads prevailed he explained why I should walk across the street each night instead. Later on as we know a famous hit took place there and I passed on the other side of the street and saw the place boarded up. Not quite a Bronx tale - but I am sure many people have similar Brooklyn tales to tell. God rest my dads soul as there were other missteps he helped me with.

We are not our past, yet some people in society still point fingers and condemn us regardless, like they themselves have never made a mistake in their lives, however big or small.
