He didn’t apologize for what he did. He apologized for the result of what he did . There is no effort from him to fix where he failed . Obviously he wants to exit from the present. He probably misses his single life . He’s still young , he wants to explore more. He doesn’t recognize the fact that he has 4 children already . Remember the receipt, you found from his bag , he knows you would wash his dirty clothes. He probably wants you to see the receipt on purpose, and , he lays his phone , for you to see the deleted messages which would even raise your suspicion. He is educated, not stupid . He wanted you to see those . He knows you well , he knows you would set him free. You’re a strong woman , your life is better off without a husband. You know how to survive.

Though the reason for her singleness was different from your situation, but it was also not easy for her at the start. But now her efforts have paid off she raised us with love and now we're grateful and love her back so much. I also became an engineer because of her help.
