فہیم بھائی بلکل درست کہا میں پچھلے ۴ سال سے ہر مہینے شالیمار پر لاہور سے بہاولپور آتا جاتا ہوں آج ہی اس پر دوبارہ ٹریول کیا یقین کریں دل خون آنسو رو رہا تھا بالکل خالی ٹرین اور بری حالت پرانے ڈبے پارلر کار پرانے والی لگائی ہوی اور ٹرین لاہور سے ۳ گھنٹے لیٹ چلی مسافر رُل گئے لوگوں کو کہتے سنا کہ شالیمار کی ٹکٹ لے کر غلطی کر لی میرے اپنے یہی احساسات تھے حالانکہ سیلاب سے پہلے جب یہ ٹرین چلتی تھی تو اس میں سیٹ نہی ملتی تھی ریلوے نے ایک اور لیجنڈری ٹرین برباد کر دی

فہیم صاحب اج اپ کی ویڈیو میں بہت مزہ ایا جو گفتگو اپ نے فرمائی میں اس سے مکمل اتفاق کرتا ہوں واقعی اس ٹرین کو تجربے کر کر کے اور لوگوں کے فرمائشی پروگرام پورے کر کر کے تباہ کر دیا گیا ہے اپ کی بات بالکل ٹھیک ہے اگر اسے صرف پرانے روٹ اور اسٹاپ کے مطابق چلایا جائے تو واقعی یہ ایک کامیاب اور سپریم ٹرین بن سکتی ہے ۔

35 سال قبل پاکستان کی دو تیز ترین ٹرینیں ھوا کرتی تھیں جن پہ سفر کرنا پاکستانیو کے لیے اک خواب ہوا کرتا تھا سپر ایکسپریس اور شالیمار۔۔۔۔ٹیکنالوجی وقت گزرنے کے ساتھ ساتھ بہتر ہوتی ہیں لیکن وطن عزیز میں ٹزین اور انسان ایک ہی روٹین میں ا چکے ہیں یعنی طبیعی عمر پوری کرو اور مرحوم ہو جاو

بھائی آپ تو پرانی یادیں تازہ کر دیتے ھو۔ میں نے بچپن اور لڑکپن میں ٹرین پر لاھور سے فیصل آباد ٹوبہ گوجرہ چٹیانہ شورکوٹ بہت سفر کیا ھے۔ آج بھی یہ ویڈیوز دیکھتے ھوئے ٹرین کی سپیڈ کے ساتھ ساتھ دل۔کی دھڑکن بھی تیز ھو جاتی ھے۔

Sir thanks 🙏 to u to making new videos and specially today about this train 🚂 I am from USA i do have love 💕 for Pakistan 🇵🇰 railway because my grandfather and uncle rip use to work for railway 🚃 in Rawalpindi station 🚉 so that way I watch your videos because u also from pindi side beside u two more people r doing something like 👍 they also good I can pray 🙏 4 u to doing very good job so u can tell Pakistani people so they can travel in Pakistani trains u should be receiving some special treatment from railway officials but u know we r in Pakistan 🇵🇰 Allah swt make Pakistan safe and happy for Pakistani people and railways and janab Allah hafiz 🙏🙏🙏

I am 100 % agreed with your Talks and comments on Shalimar Express, I did not agree on your insistence that this Train will keep running, which was doubted when the route was changed from ML-1 TO Branch Line, There are too many Jokes played with Shalimar Express that 1- This Legendary Train Designed to Run on ML-1 was put on Branch Line having 19 Coaches and Biggest Locomotive. 2- That there was No Stop at Shiekhupura being a bigger and Commercial Industrial City and a Stop on Toba Tek Singh; compare both cities, is there any meaning / justification. 3- Single Track with No Facilities on Stations like ML-1 and comparatively limited Speed and there are so many other factors which are not discussed here. I Enjoyed this Decision of Closure. The Purpose of Train was to provide a minimum time (16 Hrs) travel between Karachi and Lahore and this Train was an improved shape / replacement of Super Express which was started in June 1975 running on ML-1 via chord. Later Super Express route was changed from Sargodha to Karachi which would have faced same situation of Branch Line. I Travelled by Super Express during Sept 1975 from Karachi to Lahore via chord with in 16 Hrs The Main Purpose of this Train was again I say minimum Travelling Time between Lahore and Karachi. Which has never been fulfilled since this Train is Running on Branch Line No Vigilance on Routine i-e Time Table and always an in-efficiency of Train. During my Service with Company I have been Travelling Shalimar Express Lahore to Multan and Back also during 1989 -- 90 on my official duty at Piran Ghaib and Kot Addu Power Plants I always preferred this Train over Going By AIR or BUS, departure from Lahore at 6:00 AM and arrival at Multan was 10:30 AM, The Fare of Parlor Car (CFI Made) was Rs-175/- and I always enjoyed Breakfast in Train. Then ML-1 was Single Track From Raiwind to Multan and the Train Speed was 105 KMH. What Happened now comparatively conditions are better. Train be Run on ML-1, No of Coaches be reduced to 13 Locomotive AGE 30 or HGMU 30, Speed 120 KMH reduce No of Stops and Publicity first of All, so that people become aware and know about it. Sorry for Lengthy Comments.

Great video sir... Very appreciable that you had given a reality check on what's the current condition of Shalimar exp... And also you gave a deep analysis on why shalimar is failing and what the aspects of delay and low occupancy... And agree to the fact that giving excess stoppages and giving fsd route is causing the train to fail as the condition of shahdara bagh-sangla hill branch line and wazirabad khanewal branchline section is full of caution and with excessive stoppage how do people expect this train to be timely, it's more like making this legendary train as local train... Hence you are absolutely right and 110% agreed to the fact... I know that some people of thay route may not like my words... But lets talk on reality... Indeed their demand for downside service towards multan or bahawalpur is genuinely needed no doubt in that, but that dosen't implies that legacy of shalimar to be put on stake... For morning service from fsd PR should run a run railcar from fsd and terminate at either multan or rohri and return... and secondly the most important aspect is track condition pirticularly at tandoadam khanpur section that uses 100RE rails that is the reason why even greenline takes 18hrs from kc to lhr and return... If infrastructure is not improved then it wont be far away when even trains like greenline will take more than 24hrs from kc to lhr and return... So PR needs to look into this atmost....

السلام علیکم۔ سر بہت ہی تفصیلی بریفنگ دی آپ نے۔اور بہترین تجزیہ پیش کیا۔ 2. سر ایک تجویز ہے اگر شالیمار کو فیصل آباد سے محدود ریک کے ساتھ چلایا جائے اور لہور سے اضافی کوچز منسلک کی جائیں اور اسطرح اس کو مین لائین پر ساہیوال ملتان تا کراچی چلایا جائے۔ اس طرح ممکن ہے یہ ٹرین اپنا کھویا ہوا مقام حاصل کرلے۔ دوسرا آپ سے اتفاق ہے کہ اس کا دورانیہ 15 سے 16 گھنٹے رہنا چاہئے۔

Excellent video. Keep doing the good work. Lekin apke mic ka koi issue tha awaz clear nahi thi jo baatein aap kar rhe the. Doosra title mein aap ne last journey likha jis ko parh ke aisa laga ke shayad yeh train band hone wali hai. Baqi regarding Shalimar Express, as you mentioned you have beautiful memories for this train, I also have the same. I travelled 5-6 times on this train from Punjab to Karachi and Karachi to Punjab. Once from Bahawalpur, I wanted to travel in Parlour Car but all AC coaches were full and I could only manage a seat in the last boogie and it was the last seat (Economy class). This seat was also given to me by a railway employee and it was his reserved seat. It reached Drigh Road around 12:00 am. Shalimar Express ko kamyab karna hai to only option is to run it on chord line and give it the stops jo chord line par possible hain like Sahiwal Bahawalpur Rahim Yar Khan. Max 5-6 stops se ziada na hon. Faisalabad ke liya Karakorum Express already available hai and for Multan, Karachi Express is available. To both cities have a fast train for Karachi. Shalimar ko kamyab karna hai to is ko chord line par hi chalna chahiye no other option. Is ko legendary train hi rehna dein. Baqi, Lahore se trains ki options ziada ho gyi hain. Like Green Line, Karakorum, Karachi express, Pak Business Express and old trains like Tezgam Khyber Mail, Allama Iqbal. Pehle only Karachi Express thi baad mein Karakorum add ho gyi. Us waqt tak Shalimar pe kafi passenger aata tha.

Faheem Bhai. You are absolutly right and as you said, Railways officals and policy makers will never understand the legacy of this premium train. They just believe on rumours without considering the facts. Moreover, How many people will afford such high prices of tickets? Pakistan Raiwlays should think about it. People can't afford.

Sir according to today’s dunya news paper, train termination ka decision rok diya gaya hai, Fsd kotty main economy class ki 4 boggies add ki jaen gi, and it might possible k train Fsd se chlai jae. Ye aj ki khabar hai.

Coming to the journey... geu40 9011 in lead, journey started with delay, skips of badami bagh, river ravi, shahdara bagh was slow, and cross of missan kalar bridge and station, was also slow and after that cross with 111up was also good and and cross of quila shekhupura was also great, and cross with zcu30 with 41up at bhalike was unexpected, then skips of farooqabad, safdarabad, sangla hill, darul ehsan,sahianwala, chak jhumra, fsd dryport, was good till then, and after fsd skips of risalewala, and after ttsg skips of chutiana, dabanwala, shorkort, darkhana, abdul Hakim, makdoompur porhan was great, though the speed was max 105kmph throughout and Lp didnt went above that as this route isn't that on good condition but still it was a decent run, and reaching KWL and meeting 2dn again, but unexpectedly 2dn left lhr later ans even with so many stops how did it reached KWL before 28dn with less stops still a question? ?? Maybe lp of 2dn was a speeder... Anyways great compilation, will be waiting for next 115up journey vlog expecting for a nice decent run behind age30 after a very long time

Every 10 years a new Prime Minister decides to improve rail travel but end up inaugurating a new train and forget about the old one. If things not improved, I can predict that greenline will be superceded by some other train.

Asslamualikum brother, watched your vlog after quite a bit ( as you know life is extremely busy ,specially for overseas) .shalimar Express was my childhood romance , it's very heartbreaking to see this legendary train in such poor condition . I remember when it was time for shalimar Express to cross the dharampura bridge and head towards cant railway station I always ran to the roof of my house to see this train. It was my most favorite train. Dont know why they have changed its route 😢. Pakistan ka satianaas mar diya hay is mulk kay karta dhartaon nay .hamara Pakistan kia tha aur kia bana diya gya 😢.and trust me its deliberate effort to drown this country. Very unfortunate 😢

شالیمار ایکسپریس جب لاہور سے کراچی کیلئے نئی نئی چلی تھی اس وقت اس کا ایک ہی سٹاپ ہوا کرتا تھا جو میرا خیال ہے کہ روہڑی جنکشن تھا یا کہ خانیوال جنکشن اس کے بعد دھیرے دھیرے اس کے سٹاپ بڑھتے گئے بہرحال ٹرین پر سفر کرنا مجھے بچپن ہی سے پسند ہے اور آج بھی میری کوشش ہوتی ہے کہ لمبے سفر کیلئے پاکستان ریلوے کا انتخاب کروں
